WWE Reportedly Has a Plan for Asuka at WrestleMania 35

The Wrestlevotes Twitter account shared some news today on WWE’s upcoming plans for Asuka and who her next opponents might be. According to WrestleVotes, WWE does have a plan ready for Asuka at WrestleMania 35. Additionally, Lana and Zelina Vega are listed as potential opponents for the champion for Elimination Chamber.

WrestleVotes writes, “Been getting a ton of Asuka questions. As far as I know, they do have a plan for Mania. Just wasn’t wise for Asuka to be featured the last few weeks. WWE doesn’t want excessive “brand jumping” prior to WM, leaving only Lana or Vega for Chamber. That’s not a PPV matchup WWE wanted.”

Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are both entangled in a feud with Ronda Rousey for the Raw women’s title at the moment, and they were previously a part of the Smackdown women’s division. That has left the current reigning Smackdown women’s champion without some bigger name opponents to face on Smackdown.

As previously reported, WrestleVotes reported earlier that WWE considering making the women’s division dual-branded, which is already the case for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
