– Ringside News reports that NXT World champion Tommaso Ciampa is not seriously injured after an ugly spot during last night’s edition of Smackdown Live. During the show, NXT champ Tommaso Ciampa was in action. He and NXT North American champion Johnny Gargano defeated The Bar in a tag team match.
During the match, it appeared that Ciampa landed awkwardly after he performed a sunset flip powerbomb off the top rope. The impact of his landing appeared to awkwardly tweak his knee. The referee did check on Ciampa, and the NXT Superstar did appear to take a break for a bit. However, Ciampa was eventually able to get back up and finish the match. This led to talk that Ciampa might be hurt or injured after the match. It appears that as of now, Ciampa is not dealing with an injury from that blow.
