Rumors on Possible Superstar Returns for WrestleMania 35

– As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is rumored to be having his retirement match this year at WrestleMania 35. However, he’s not the only major Superstar rumored for a planned match this year at WrestleMania 35. According to Joe Peisich on Barnburner’s On The Mat podcast (via Ringside News) a number of other Superstars are planned for matches at the event, including some big returning names.

Per the report, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, John Cena, Kurt Angle, and Batista are all names being tossed around for matches at WrestleMania this year. John Cena had a brief WWE return earlier this year ahead of the Royal Rumble. He was announced for the men’s Royal Rumble match, but he was announced as not competing in the bout at the last minute.

Previous reports have indicated that Batista (aka Dave Bautista) has been in talks with WWE for an in-ring return. In the past, Batista has talked about wanting to face Triple H one last time at WrestleMania. Kevin Owens has recently been appearing in videos on TV teasing his return to the ring as well.

Sami Zayn has been out of action since June due to shoulder issues. He’s been reportedly been working out at the WWE Performance Center recently to prep for an in-ring return.
