– As previously reported, tickets for the general sale for May’s AEW Double or Nothing event sold out in four minutes. Dave Meltzer stated on The Wrestling Observer Radio this week (via WrestlingInc.com) that during the pre-sale last Monday (Feb. 11), there was about 43,500 people signing in over the course of about the first half hour of the sale.
That’s with the venue being sized for a capacity of approximately 14,000 attendees. Additionally, Meltzer noted that this not a full representation of the market, since there’s still three months until the show takes place and more matches will be added to the card later on.
AEW Double or Nothing is set for May 25. The event will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
