Brock Lesnar Now Reportedly Likely to Miss SummerSlam

– A new report says that Brock Lesnar is not likely to compete at SummerSlam. Following rumors that Lesnar would miss out on the PPV and Dave Meltzer saying his status is “to be determined,” PWInsider (via WZ) reports that Lesnar isn’t likely to work the big PPV and we may not see him until later in the year.

According to the site, WWE only has Lesnar signed for a couple more dates, and they intend to use him for shows other than SummerSlam. WWE could use him more often if they can work out a deal to add dates to his current contract, but that is not currently the case — at least, to get him on the PPV.

Lesnar has until today to under the USADA testing pool if he wants to compete in the UFC by the end of this year. Due to Lesnar’s suspension after UFC 200 for an anti-doping violation, he must be part of the testing pool for six months before he can fight. Entering today would make him potentially eligible to compete against the winner of the Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier UFC 226 bout on July 7th for the heavyweight title.

Opinionated View- Pathetic!  How fucking pathetic is this? WWE bowed down to this guy on some many things he isn't even going to appear at the second biggest show of the year?

Former Tough Enough Winner Matt Cappotelli Passes Away

– Matt Cappotelli has passed away following a long battle with cancer. The Tough Enoughalumnus was thirty-eight. Cappotelli’s wife Lindsay released a statement confirming the news on her Facebook account, which read:
“I’ve been struggling with what to say and how to say this and I’ll probably end up rambling, but here goes. Today my love-my strong sweet beautiful love took his last breath at 3:30 am and went Home to be with Jesus….exactly one year after his brain surgery. You think you can be prepared for this when you know it’s coming, but you just can’t. The only person whose comfort I want now is the one who can’t give it to me. I miss him so much. I know where he is now is so much better, but it doesn’t change how much I miss him.”
Cappotelli is best known for his run on the third season of Tough Enough’s original MTV run, where he won alongside John Hennigan. Cappotelli had a few appearances on WWE TV and worked in Ohio Valley Wrestling under a developmental contract with the company. It was there that, after he went to the hospital to get checked out for a possible concussion, he was disgnosed with a form of brain cancer known as astrocytoma. Cappotelli, then the OVW Heavyweight Champion, retired and surrendered the title

Updated WWE Extreme Rules Card

The following is the updated card for the WWE Extreme Rules PPV from July 15 in Pittsburgh.
WWE Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Rusev
RAW Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Carmella (c) vs. Asuka
RAW Tag Team Championships: The Deleters of Worlds (c’s) vs. The B-Team
Smackdown Tag Team Championships: The Bludgeon Brothers (c’s) vs. Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane)
Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley was also heavily teased on this past Monday’s RAW, but not made official.
Opinionated View- Awful card. Rusev just isn't a main event guy and AJ's title run has been a after thought. Poor Alexa back to carrying Nia. And is Nia a heel or a face or heel or a face she shanges weekly. Carmella and Asuka is going to suck because it's a the crowd silencer and the painted clown. Raw tag titles are a joke. You know the idea of Daniel teaming up with someone to talk on the Bludgeon Brothers could be a good idea instead though we have to try and get Kane over again. Lashley having to job to Reigns.

WWE Says Nakamura is Injured

WWE released a video today on their Twitter account announcing that Shinsuke Nakamura sustained an injury last night and is not medically cleared to compete against Jeff Hardy tonight on Smackdown Live.

It was then announced that Jeff Hardy will issue a United States Championship Open Challenge tonight for Smackdown Live.

We know nothing in regards to the injury at this time

Opinionated View- Could be a work. I mean could fully see Jeff having a tough match and Nakamura coming out to hit him with soft punches and kicks and shitty knees that Jeff must sell.

I never wish injury on anyone but I won't be to sad if he really is hurt and doesn't return well ever.

The following is the updated card for the WWE Extreme Rules PPV on July 15 from Pittsburgh.
WWE Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Rusev
RAW Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax

RAW Tag Team Championships: The Deleters of Worlds (“Woken” Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt) (c’s) vs. The B-Team (Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas)
Opinionated View- Awful card. AJ vs. Rusev looks weak. Yeah the Rusev day stuff has gotten over but still doesn't mean he's worth watching in the ring. Poor Alexa back to carrying dead weight Nia. Also doesn't help Nia's character keep going from heel to face to heel to face to heel to face. Everything Reigns touches turns to shit. Tag team wrestling is WWE is a massive unfunny joke.

Former Impact World Champion signs contract extension

Impact Wrestling announced on Monday afternoon that former Impact World Champion Eli Drake has signed a contract extension with the company.
It was reported earlier this month that Drake’s previous deal was set to expire soon.
BREAKING NEWS: We’re delighted to announce that dummies will be named and shamed long into the future as @TheEliDrake has signed a contract extension with IMPACT Wrestling.

Opinionated View- I sure the usual WWE sheep will come out saying "He should have gone to NXT." Except he already was in NXT and they did nothing with him. So I'm sure the counter with "Different NXT." You are right now they waste talents like EC3 and Adam Cole instead of putting them up on the painfully thin main roster. Also to all the people I've seen attacking Impact for not keep Drake you ready to shut up and admit contracts aren't easy ot work you can't just say "Oh Hey Eli sign this."

Goodbye Vader, Big Cass Fired, Omega "Hates" Japan

Rumor Claims Big Cass Incident With Carmella Led to His Release

– As previously reported, Big Cass was recently released from WWE. A number of backstage rumors for his release have circulated. WrestlingNews.co released a new report this week indicating that an alleged backstage incident between Cass and his ex-girlfriend, Carmella, also led to him being let go from the company.

The report noted that this alleged incident was the “last straw” to him being fired. The report claims that the rumor came from a “well-placed source.” Cass is said to have cone up to Carmella and caused a scene while he was asking her to forgive him and hopefully reconcile. Carmella then tried to walk away from him, but then Cass grabbed her arm. Other wrestlers in the area then stepped in. The Usos and Erick Rowan reportedly had to get Cass to back away.

It was apparently after this incident that word got back to management, and the call was made to fire Big Cass. Vince McMahon then called Big Cass into a room and gave him the news only hours before Smackdown Live started in Toledo. The report claims this incident is the main reason why Big Cass was not wished well in his future endeavors when the news of Cass’ exit from WWE was posted on WWE.com.

Opinionated View- Okay so the key is rumor. But as I said in the video we didn't just see smoke we saw fire. That timeline shows he there was a history of poor immature behavior. This fits in with that. If this is true can't say I blame them.

AJ Styles Reportedly Set to Miss Smackdown Next Week

Per The Wrestling Observer, WWE world champion AJ Styles is currently doing promotional work for WWE in Australia. As a result, he won’t be appearing at weekend house shows this weekend. Additionally, he’s not expected to appear on next week’s edition of Smackdown Live. Styles is currently set to defend his world title against Rusev at Extreme Rules.

Opinionated View- Will it really matter? AJ's such an after thought even with the belt.

WWE Rumored to Have Pitched The Undertaker a Story and Match for Summerslam

– The WrestleVotes Twitter account is that The Undertaker has been pitched a story and potential matchup for this year’s Summerslam event. According to the source on the news, Undertaker being scheduled to work the Madison Square Garden event in July and the Australia Super Show-Down card in October are a good sign that The Undertaker could work this year’s Summerslam.
Additionally, the account notes that the idea is one that Undertaker was actually pushing for at one point in time. You can check the tweet on the news below.

Opinionated View- Oh just what we don't fucking need washed old man Undertaker taking spots. And don't give me shit about how "Great" his mania match

WWE Reportedly Not Interested In Return For Batista

PWInsider (via PWInsider) reports that WWE is reportedly not interested in bringing Batista back to the company for one final run. Batista has said in past interviews that he hopes for one last run in the company before he retires from pro wrestling for good. It’s currently unknown why WWE doesn’t want Batista back, especially with him making a name for himself in Hollywood.

There had been rumors that Batista would be Ronda Rousey’s partner at Wrestlemania 34, but those plans fell through and Kurt Angle got the spot instead.
Opinionated View- If this is true and I stress if, I would guess he wants to much money. And they already waste to much on Brock to afford Dave.

AAA Still Has A Hold At Madison Square Garden

As we previously reported, ROH was set to run a show at Madison Square Garden during Wrestlemania weekend in 2019, but a call from a high-ranking WWE official to the venue shut that down. ROH and the Garden had agreed to the date but a deal had not been signed. MSG had been contacting wrestling promotions about holding shows there because WWE, their long-standing partner, had been using the Barclays Center in Brooklyn instead. Sinclair is pursuing legal options and are said to be very upset with the move.

Meanwhile, AAA was also scheduled to run events at the Garden, starting in September. According to PWInsider, AAA still has their two holds on the Garden, including September 16 and a back-up date as AAA wants to also hold a Las Vegas event on September 16. The second date was said to be September 23 but is now later in the fall. AAA is working out details on running the events but are considering pushing back to early 2019 so they don’t waste time, money and effort on a rushed event.

Sami Zayn reveals he tore two rotator cuffs, Will now likely be out of action until 2019

WWE.com is featuring an interview with Sami Zayn where he reveals he has suffered two torn rotator cuffs in his left and right shoulder.

Zayn noted that he initially went to Birmingham, Alabama to have his right shoulder (what he described as his “good shoulder”) worked on, only to note that his left shoulder started acting up again after undergoing surgery back in 2015.

“…my left shoulder, a.k.a my bad shoulder, started to act up again as well. That shoulder hasn’t quite been the same since surgery anyway, so I had just kind of gotten used to the fact that that shoulder was the bad one. But it started to get progressively worse, so basically, long story short, it turns out I have two torn rotator cuffs. The left one and the right one are both torn. I just underwent surgery on the right one, and then in about six or seven weeks, I’ll be undergoing surgery on the left one,
and hopefully I can come back healthy and happy.”

If you recall, Zayn ended up hurting his shoulder during his official debut segment as part of the main roster in May of 2015. WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart introduced Zayn as the challenger to Cena in his hometown of Montreal.

During his entrance, Zayn threw his arms up on the steel steps and could be seen noticeably favoring his shoulder immediately.

Zayn now faces a long road ahead. The average recovery time for a torn rotator cuff is around four to six months. With Zayn repairing one rotator cuff and facing another surgery in six or seven weeks, he was hopeful for a return for WrestleMania season next year.

“Because of the timeline, I’d love to be in the mix for WrestleMania season; that’s the most exciting time of the year for all of us. I think timeline wise, I should be ready in time for WrestleMania, so fingers crossed. There’s never a good time to get hurt or get surgeries, but I do feel like I was starting to hit my stride and find my voice and find myself as a performer. Which is funny, because 16 years in, it’s like I’m rediscovering the art of it in a sense, because I’m doing something I’ve never really done before. So, how I come back, when I come back, that all remains to be seen. But I have a pretty good track record, I’d say overall, and I plan on carrying that forward when I come back. I want to come back just as good, if not better, than I’ve ever been.”

Opinionated View- That's rough for Sami. Sadly there is no healing up quick let just hope he heals up with out any complications.

Breaking News: Leon White (Big Van Vader) Passes Away

Leon White (Big Van Vader) passed away on Monday night due to complications from pneumonia according to statements issued by his son on Twitter.

White was 63 years old.

White’s son wrote:

“Around a month ago my father was diagnosed with a severe case of Pneumonia. He fought extremely hard and clinically was making progress. Unfortunately, on Monday night his heart had enough and it was his time.”

White, a former WCW and IWGP Heavyweight Champion, had been battling health issues in recent years, including undergoing heart surgery in early May.

Two years ago, White revealed publicly that he had congestive heart failure and was told that that he had around two years to live as a result of the diagnosis. He first underwent open heart surgery back in March and was forced to another surgery in May. White was then hospitalized in April noting he was having trouble breathing.

It is with a heavy heart to inform everyone that my father, Leon White, passed away on Monday night (6/18/18) at approximately 7:25pm.

WWE issued the following statement after news of Leon White (Vader) passing away went public earlier this morning via tweets from his son.
WWE is saddened to learn that Leon White, better known to WWE audiences as Vader, passed away Monday night at the age of 63.
White began his sports-entertainment career in the mid-1980s after retiring from the NFL due to injury. He rose to national prominence in Verne Gagne’s American Wrestling Association before joining New Japan Pro Wrestling as the masked Big Van Vader. He went on to become one of the promotion’s biggest stars and most feared competitors.
Vader then transitioned to World Championship Wrestling, where he would make the biggest mark of his career. He engaged in memorable rivalries with the likes of Sting and Ron Simmons, becoming a dominant, three-time WCW World Champion in the process.
In 1996, Vader joined the WWE roster, where he squared off against Superstars such as Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. He also found success on the small screen with a recurring guest role on the popular 1990s television program, “Boy Meets World.”
WWE extends its condolences to White’s family, friends and fans.

Opinionated View- One of the greatest big man/monsters ever. He was also one of the first bigger guys to do athletic moves. RIP Vader.

Updated WWE Extreme Rules Card

Here is the updated card as of Wednesday:
WWE Championship
AJ Styles (c) vs. Rusev
Six-Man Match
Winner Becomes No. 1 Contender for Universal Championship
Announced so far: Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley
RAW Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax
Opinionated View- Rusev have become more tolerable lately but still isn't that good and sure as hell isn't the guy I want to see challenge for the title. Doesn't' help AJ feels like such a lame duck champion.  Lets be honest honest if they put a 100 guy in the No 1 contender match it still suck because odds are it's another show case for Roman. Poor Alexa has to carry Nia again. Hopefully WWE is smart to see they have a red hot angle with Alexa and Ronda and dno't do some BS like having Nia regain the belt.

Big Cass’ WWE Release Reportedly Due to Drinking, Attitude Issues

Two new reports state that Big Cass’ WWE release on Tuesday stemmed from issues with public intoxication and having attitude issues. Pro Wrestling Sheet and Sports Illustrated have news on what led to the Smackdown’s star’s firing, which was announced by the company on Tuesday. The reports claim that Cass’ heat from May over going directly against Vince McMahon’s orders regarding his segment with a little person stand-in for Daniel Bryan were the beginning of a downward spiral for him.

According to the reports, Cass was drinking during the European tour that kicked off a week after the incident and had attitude issues. Cass was allegedly intoxicated in public, which is a big reason for his firing. In addition, there were several minor incidents that happened which turned out to be the final nails in his coffin as a WWE star.

The one incident that PWS has confirmed with multiple sources happened on the WWE bus that was driving talent around. Cass went to use the bathroom on the bus, which had a broken lock. Cass did not realize the lock was broken and thought he was being pranked. After being stuck in the bathroom for too long, Cass (who the site describes in the moment as “claustrophobic/angry”) broke down the door, which meant that people had to use the bathroom on the bus without a door afterward.

The multiple incidents happening in such a short time appear to have been the impetus for McMahon to call a meeting on Tuesday at the Smackdown taping and fire Cass.

Opinionated View- So classic story guy gets a huge ego during his first real singles push

WWE MITB and NXT TakeOver Chicago Review

Breaking: WWE announces the release of Big Cass on Tuesday, Brief statement issued

Moments ago, WWE just announced the release of Big Cass (William Morrissey).
The official and very brief statement reads:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of William Morrissey (Big Cass).”
It’s interesting to note WWE opted to leave out wishing Cass the best in his “future endeavors” as they normally do when announcing talent releases.
This announcement comes just two days after Cass lost to Daniel Bryan in a singles match during the WWE Money in the Bank PPV on Sunday night in Chicago.
Following a stint in NXT, Cass debuted on the main roster in April of 2016 along with Enzo Amore. He would then shift to singles competition in July of 2017, breaking away from the tag team division and no longer tagging with Amore. Cass suffered an injury in August later that year during a match with Amore and returned to action this past April.
Opinionated View- Well something had to happen to cause this. Stay tuned to find out what.

Why Sami Zayn lost to Bobby Lashley in quick fashion at the Money in the Bank PPV

For those wondering why Sami Zayn’s match with Bobby Lashley last just over six minutes long at the Money in the Bank PPV this past Sunday, it was for a very good reason.
According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Zayn has been battling an undisclosed injury and has been working through it in recent weeks.
Zayn was not at the Monday Night RAW taping last night in Grand Rapids and it would appear his quick loss to Lashley at Money in the Bank was a way to write him off television for the time being. He was scheduled to travel to Birmingham, Alabama to further examine his injury. No other details are known at this time.

Opinionated View- Well it all comes down how the line up the blocks but there are lot of good potential matches ups here. I saw some reaction and shock Cody isn't in it but given All In and the Rumors he's winning the ROH belt back time wise I don't think he can be in Japan for whole G-1. Here are my thoughts on each guy

Omega- Right now he's viewed by most as the best in the world. He's a guy that can out and have a different match each time out in this. Not likely to win. He's been in the finals the last 2 years and they don't have the reining IWGP champion win. Its sets up the WK title match. Plus havign Kenny drops some matches also will set up title matches later this year.
Elgin- Talented guy who seems to be getting back on track (I wrote this before watched his V1 Defense so he might dropped the NEVER belt) But again not likely to win as he's just lower on the card.
White- There guys with clear big plans. They have pushed him very hard since returning to Japan. He has the win over Kenny. I could see him making a deep run the finals and win unlikely. Maybe we get eitehr the rematch with Kenny or the first White vs. Okada match here.
Tanahshi- Realistically at this stage he should be in this to put guys over. But he's still mad over so I could see them giving them a deep run. And well there is always they give him "One last" shot at the top.
Makabe- At this stage unlikely to win it. He's in there more in there for the name value alone.
Juice- He's gotten over and they are setting up fo rhim vs. White. Mahybe pulls a big win or two seems like he's the guy in there score points on.
Okada- Wells the odds on favorite he's the Ace of New Japan. If I were booking I would have him drop some matches early and than need to make a run late. With the idea being that after 720 days on top he's been worn down.
Goto- He won it before was in the finals not that long ago. At this stage though I think he's past he point where winning doesn't make sense and frankly booking wise  he hasn't been pushed strong enough to justify it.
Ishii- Maybe  given his size and style people will buy it. Still a bit of a stretch. I think he's more be that "OH shit he just beat the crap out of _____ who has to face ______ next."
Yano- I love Yano but there is no way he's winning this. He will do his Yano stuff mess around score a few wins give guys a break from "Strong Style" and do his comedy things like the low blows.
HASHI- Well point blank on English commentary they said he was at best on the bubble for the tournaemnt so unless the plan some miracle run odds are he will be the guy that tanks low.
Fale- Fale will get soe wins. Again though he feels like the roadblock for other guys. I could see them giving him a few wins to set up a shot a singles belt at some point.
Tonga- A dark horse. They have hinted at some point The Bullet Club OG's will become a full on singles group. He's got the size, talent, and looks that could make for a strong run. IFhe's in the same block as Kenny I won't be shocked to see him win. Especially given there is a lot "He is the true leader" talk.
Page- Another guy New Japan seems to have big plans for. He main evneted a show vs. Kenny not that long ago. Given it's his first G-1 expect more loses than wins. But at this point just getting in the tournament is a big deal for him and his fans.
Naito- Defending winner he also won it in 2013. Back to back winners of the G-1 are rare but it has been done. Naito is super over with the fans in Japan. There is also a long running story of his dream being to win the main event at the Dome. Plus he and Kenny have history and a with Okada dropping the belt it feels like now's a good time to get him back in the HW title picture.
EVIL- Given the hints he will face Jericho I think he picks up some strong wins. Talented guy expect a middle of the back finish
SANADA- Again NJPW seems high on him. But I think he's get the more losses than wins treament.
Suzki- I hope he doesn't win because he's in that class of his best days are behind him. But you just never know. Odds are he gets some big wins and beats the crap out guys because he's Suzki
Sabre- Well a lot were stunned when he won the New Japan cup. Guy is talented always a joy to watch. I don't see him winning but yeah a strong tournament again maybe a upset win to set up a title match after the G-1 is over.
Ibushi- I think he has a chance to win it. The story is there with he and Kenny. I feel like New Japan wants to  have it be an all Japan finals given how much the Foreingers have won lately. No denying the talent.
