It was reported over the weekend that WWE had granted Tye Dillinger his release after he requested it publicly with a post on social media. Dillinger’s release was announced along with TJP and Hideo Itami. WWE has reportedly been trying to lock talent into new deals, but it seems they were fine with Dillinger leaving. According to Rajah, Dillinger was not considered a “make or break” talent in WWE and was considered disposable by WWE officials.
Dillinger’s contract will likely have a ninety-day non-compete clause, which would make him available for AEW’s Double or Nothing event in May. He is reportedly friends with Cody Rhodes, who actually commented that any company would benefit from having Dillinger on their roster.
