On last night’s edition of Impact Wrestling, Ethan Carter III defeated Matt Hardy to become the TNA World Champion. It was previously reported that the semifinals and finals were taped, with Lashley defeating Matt Hardy in the finals.
Pwinsider.com confirms that those were in fact the original plans, but TNA made a change in the creative direction and dumped those taped matches.
Opinionated View- See I still think TNA might have filmed that stuff to throw off the net. Of the 4 guys EC3 was the right one to go with. He's younger he's over all the most talented. And really I don't think if not for the issues with DA forcing a marathon taping they would have ever take the belt off him.
