According to Pwinsider.com, AJ Styles will begin his tenure with WWE this week. At this time, Styles is scheduled to be at the Royal Rumble this Sunday in Orlando, Florida as well as this week’s Raw and Smackdown tapings in Miami and Tampa. Styles teased the appearance at this past weekend’s Revolution Pro Wrestling High Stakes event in London.
At this time, it is not known if Styles will be part of the Royal Rumble PPV, but his debut is said to be imminent. Styles was reportedly offered a big money deal for three to four years to return to TNA for their POP TV debut, but opted to sign with WWE.
Opinionated View- Before either side start jumping up lets make a few things clear. This story reads like it was written purely to get click and get google searches. I mean you got all the buzz words you need AJ, WWE, Rumble TNA, Pop, Debut, Return.
And for the WWE sheep/TNA bas crew about to celebrate "AJ picked WWE." I remind everyone we dont' know for sure. "Big Money" could mean anything. I'm happy to hear TNA at least made an offer to see if he was willing to come back. That said I don't see it as a loss. AJ's already been off TNA for a while. TNA has a very strong roster right. Again AJ is 38 has bad back and wrestles a style that will only make that back worse.
Plus do you really trust WWE to give AJ a big push? We have seen it WWE loves to down play guys. Remember it took years for Punk or Bryan to really get momentum.
