Lucha Underground News: Rey Mysterio Expected to Sign With Lucha Underground, Vampiro’s Role to Change, and More

– The Wrestling Observer has revealed more details on the upcoming next season of Lucha Underground, including the news that Rey Mysterio is expected to sign with Lucha Underground soon. Per the report, the plan is to use Mysterio as the promotion’s top star in season two.
Both sides have been reportedly quiet on this front. Mysterio has not yet officially signed with the promotion, and it’s believed Lucha Underground is saving the announcement as a surprise for the show.
– On top of that, former WWE Tough Enough contestant Martin Casaus is expected to get a bigger push in season two. He worked dark matches last year with former Olympian Jeff Cobb and will likely make his official debut with the promotion.
– For the new season, Vampiro is reportedly being moved away from the announce team and will become the manager of Pentagon Jr.

Opinionated View- Of course this contradicts the budget cutting report. Because even if Mysterio does sign for the lowest fee he would be willing to he's still going to cost. Also its Rey sooner or later he's going to get hurt and miss time. Plus with El Patron, Chavo, Blue Demon last thing LU needs is more old guys. Speaking of old guys I guess I am happy Vampiro won't be announcing but I fear him being manager for Pentagon will only be about Vampiro.
