The brother of Kurt Angle has been charged with homicide after his wife was found dead in their home. The Post-Gazette reports that David Angle was arrested and is being held in Allegheny County Jail in Pennsylvania after a domestic disturbance report led police to his home at 6:24 AM this morning. They found fifty-seven year-old Donna Angle unresponsive on the floor of the living room. Donna was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 7:13.
Kurt Angle’s manager confirmed the news, texting “Due to the situation Kurt would appreciate if you can honor his family’s request for privacy at his difficult time.”
David Angle dold police that he and his wife were in the living room at about 3 AM when his wife offered him vodka according to the criminal complaint. He said refused and she continued to “badger him about drinking with her,” at which point it escalated. The report says Angle claimed that “all of their arguments revolved around alcohol and added that he has ‘anger issues.'”
Angle said that after Donna tried to kick him, he “grabbed both of her arms, pulled her off the couch, put his foot on her chest and then pulled.” He said he didn’t remember how long he did it for but that “it was not for minutes.” He said Donna became unconscious and he tried to revive her before calling 911.
