Lucha Underground Cutting Budget For Season 2

The WON reports that Lucha Underground’s just-announced second season will be done on a lower budget. The site reports that the show will begin filming in December for the announced early 2016 premiere date. The site notes that the budget will be cut down from the first season, when each episode cost $400,000. However, it will be done in ways that fans won’t notice the difference.
The show will tape at the same Los Angeles location, and while not much is confirmed at this point there is a believe that there won’t be as many shows as the first season had. The promotion has been talking with Mexican TV networkas and had been in talks with Televisa Channel 5. While it isn’t known whether a deal was reached, if so that would give them more television exposure in Mexico than WWE, CMLL or AAA.

Opinionated View- I can think of plenty of places to cut the budget. Fire people like Cureto, Black Lotus, Old Man Luchardor who are just in dumb backstage BS. Get ready of guys like Chavo and Blue Demon who no doubt draw big paydays. Stop paying the biggest waste of money ever El Patron.

Other places to save money the over produced, pretensions backstage segments. Its not a movie it's not a show like Game of Thrones you don't need to film it like one. You also don't need BS like special effects and having Drago fly and stuff like that.
