According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE is interested in signing Kazuchika Okada due in part to his height. Okada is bulled at 6’3″. NJPW has offered Okada a five-year deal and while he’s said he will remain loyal, there’s no word whether he has accepted the deal. However, it is thought that New Japan would offer Okada more money to keep him.
WWE is looking to get aggressive in talent signings from from Mexico, Japan and the UK over the next few months for, among other reasons, the Global Cruiserweight Series. They’re said to be interested in a top name from Lucha Underground and AAA who has never worked for a mainstream US company and is unhappy with Lucha Underground’s creative.
