According to Jerry Lawler, WrestleMania 32 could feature split announce teams. Lawler told Cerrito Live that it isn’t a done deal yet, but that he has heard rumors it could happen in order to allow both him and Mauro Renallo to appear on the show.
Lawler also talked about his recent commentary heel turn and said it was something he wanted to do, as Ranallo was the new guy on the Smackdown teap and wouldn’t say anything bad about anyone while Byron Saxton is too nice of a guy. Lawler said he suggested it to Vince McMahon, who loved the idea and said he missed Lawler’s heel antics.
Lawler added that right now he’s just “scratching the surface” and trying to ease gradually into the turn.
