TMZ Sports is reporting that Sting's in-ring wrestling career is now likely over. Sting, 56, was recently evaluated by several doctors who all agreed it was too risky for him to get back in the ring.
He continues to suffer from serious neck problems since his match with Seth Rollins last September at WWE Night of Champions, a match that resulted with Sting being diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis (a condition affecting the nerves).
Sting, who was announced as an inductee into the Class of 2016 WWE Hall of Fame this year, is expected to make some sort of an announcement regarding his wrestling future during WrestleMania 32 weekend in just a few weeks in Dallas and likely during his Hall of Fame speech.
TMZ Sports: Sting retiring from Wrestling ... neck's too jacked up
Opinionated View- Just so any new readers are clear... I am a huge Sting fans always have been and always will be. And I wish his career hadn't ended like this. The man is 56 years old. His few matches in WWE he looked bad. He needed to retire.
