After today's Day 1 of the 2014 New Japan World Tag League in Tokyo, New Japan has announced that former WWE star Yoshitatsu has suffered a neck injury and is off the rest of the Tag League, which goes until December 7. It is believed that Tatsu suffered this injury after landing on his neck taking a Styles Clash from AJ Styles during their match at the "Power Struggle" iPPV on November 8 in Osaka. Roderick Strong took a similar bad landing earlier this year in a match with Styles in ROH that forced him to be out of action for nearly 2 months.
Tatsu had been teaming with IWGP Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi for the Tag League, so with Tatsu being out, either all of their scheduled matches will be forfeited wins to their opponents throughout the remainder of the Tag League, or Tanahashi will be given a new partner, which is said will possibly be IWGP Jr. Champion Ryusuke Taguchi.
