House of Hardcore News

- House of Hardcore VII was completely sold out. All seats were sold, and an additional 200 standing room tickets were sold at the door for the show.
– Tommy Dreamer was reportedly very pleased with the reception of the event for fans. Dreamer is said to be trying to move forward with more shows in 2015 after hitting his goals of four shows in 2014.
– Young Bucks member Nick Jackson reportedly suffered a groin injury when he executed a superkick early in the match of The Young Bucks vs. The Hardys. After the event, Jackson was concerned he possibly had a groin tear, but believed it could just be a groin pull.
– Eddie Kingston suffered bruised ribs during his match with Eddie Edwards. The injury occurred when Edwards nailed three dives in a row. Kingston was caught hard in his ribs on the third dive move.
– Davey Richards was forced to miss the show due to medical issues from his EMT job. Dreamer was informed by Richard on Friday that he might not be able to make the show.
– Jigsaw was absent the event because he was sick and unable to wrestle.
– Dreamer reportedly set up the appearance by Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo as a surprise for the live crowd. It marked Del Rio’s first US pro-wrestling appearance in his post-WWE career. The two performers reportedly did not show up to 2300 Arena (the former ECW Arena) until right before their appearance. Del Rio reportedly loved the atmosphere of the venue and was excited to be there.
– Beulah McGillicuty was reportedly overcome with emotion by the respect she received at last night’s event. Beulah had not been to 2300 Arena since she left ECW over 16 years ago in 1998.
– TNA champion Bobby Roode, Spike Dudley, Sandman, Little Guido Alberto, Ricardo, Stevie Richards and Team 3D were there unannounced. The Blue Meanie and Nick Berk were also there to visit.
– The new management of 2300 Arena announced before the show that no fan in attendance would be allowed ot move the chairs in the venue from their set up position, stand up on any chairs, or hand chairs to any wrestlers at the show. If they did, they would’ve been ejected from the building.
– Tony DeVito was working backstage as an agent for the event.
– Atlas Security handled the house security for the event.
– CW Anderson vs. Danny Doring was originally planned to be the opening match for the evening. However, Ethan Carter III’s injury forced some changes to the card, and some of the wrestlers were shifted. Instead, Anderson did a run-in spot during Dreamer vs. Bobby Roode.
