– The Wrestling Observer  has a report on why Nikki Bella did not end up taking part in the Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown match at Survivor Series. Instead, Bella did a backstage injury angle, and she was replaced by the team coach, Natalya.

According to the Observer, Nikki Bella is actually not injured, and the angle was the plan from the start. The angle had actually been in place since WWE officials originally mapped out the match about several weeks ago. Meltzer believes this angle will ultimately set up a Nikki Bella vs. Natalya feud.
