One of the bigger news items coming out of the weekend was the appearance of TNA’s Ethan Carter III at the Evolve 61 iPPV event. Dave Meltzer spoke about the angle on Wrestling Observer Radio, noting that the angle isn’t designed to be a WWE vs. TNA story, but that it is obviously meant to have an anti-WWE feel to it (with Galloway and Carter noting that they became world champions without WWE, and selling that Evolve is bowing down to WWE and losing their independent spirit). Evolve isn’t isn’t doing anything that WWE wouldn’t sign off on, and Carter (like Galloway) can appear on the shows because TNA allows them to take outside bookings as long as the promotion does not air on US TV. The next part of the story will see Carter and Galloway team and face Johnny Gargano and TJ Perkins on June 10th at Evolve 62.
You can watch the angle below…
Opinionated View- Wait Dave didn't take this a chance to bash TNA? I was half expecting him to say "TNA knows it's on it's last legs and is hoping..."
Now as for the Not meant to be TNA vs. WWE I call BS on that. Because you have two guys that are TNA guys both have held the TNA world title. They are both bashing WWE and both use there TNA names and gimmicks.
