Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer (via Wrestlezone.com) reportedly revealed that AAA apparently had some major booking plans for Perro Aguayo Jr. in the promotion.
According to Meltzer, there were plans to hold a program between Aguayo and Myztezis (formerly Mistico and later Sin Cara in WWE). From there, Aguayo was supposed to work a world title program with Alberto El Patron. This was the original plan after El Patron debuted in AAA and defeated El Texano Jr. for the AAA world title last December.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez reported that Lucha Underground told media at this weekend’s TV tapings that none of the roster were available for interviews with the media after the passing Perro Aguayo Jr. last Saturday. Konnan was in attendance at the Saturday afternoon show.
During the tapings, a ceremony was reportedly held in honor of the late Perro Aguayo Jr
