TNA President Dixie Carter held a meeting with TNA talent at the Impact Wrestling tapings in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She told them that TNA will soon announce a new TV deal that will see Impact airing on its new network on January 7, the first Wednesday after the deal with Spike TV ends. TNA likely hasn’t signed a deal with anyone right now but they are in “serious talks”. The belief is that TNA will sign a deal that enables Impact to stay on TV on Wednesday nights.
If all goes according to plan, then TNA will hold a live TV taping from the Manhattan Center in New York City, New York on January 7. WGN America and Velocity are two names being discussed for the TV deal, along with another option that isn’t a cable station. CMT is also being considered.
Jason Hervey and Eric Bischoff of “Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment,” who worked with TNA before, teased something to do with WGN on Wednesday via social media.
