ROH TV Report: Elgin vs Young For the ROH World TItle

Tonight’s show starts off with comments from Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. Daniels says that ever since they were little kids, they watched professional wrestling. They drank it in before they knew what they were watching. As they got older, they knew that they needed more. It did not matter if it was Mid-Atlantic, Mid-South, or World Class. At first it might have been one of those places, but then it became all of those places.

Then it became the international stuff. A little bit of Lucha, a little bit of Japan. Some stuff from Europe. It didn’t matter where we got it from. It mattered that they got it. They were addicted to it. Then there came a point where watching it wasn’t enough. Then they started doing it.

First, a little at a time. Then it grew to two, three, or four times a week. They did it everywhere and then came Ring of Honor. When they wanted it so really bad they could taste it, they knew Ring of Honor was where to get it. That was the place where the pure stuff was.

The rush that they got from being in a Ring of Honor ring was the best they ever felt. Each time is better than the last. It is like that not just for them, but the fans have the same reaction. They need us to feed that need and satiate that hunger. They need to see us against the best of the best in the ring. That look in their eyes and the rush that they feel when they walk that aisle, do that dance, and then win and win again. That is when they know that they are not the addicts. The fans are the addicts. Daniels says that they are the Addiction.

We are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and your announcers are Kevin Kelly and Caprice Coleman.

Match Number Two: Silas Young versus Michael Elgin for the Ring of Honor World Title
Before the match starts, Silas has something to say. He tells Elgin that he hopes he spent the last weeks sleeping with that title, spending every spare moment that you got with it. Because when you decided that you wanted to be a wrestling champion and you wanted to give a shot at your title against the Last Real Man in pro wrestling, you basically put yourself on a timeline for defeat. The problem with a guy like you is that you grew up as an average kid who had to work hard to be a true athlete. Silas says that Elgin’s work ethic shows for the wrestling machine that you have become. You are not Unbreakable. Even with all of the hard work, you are just average. Just like these average people in their average town living their average lives who think that just because they live in the same city that they have some kind of connection. Silas says that they have no connection.
