7/24 WWE Main Event Resutls

Josh Matthews and The Miz introduce us to WWE Main Event, as Sheamus makes his way to the ring for his match up. Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger come out, with Zeb Colter questioning his ability to comprehend his location.
Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter
WE THE PEOPLE! Mike Chioda calls for the bell, as both men lock up, with Swagger going after that deep leg bruise that Sheamus is sporting. Swagger with a few headlock take downs to open Sheamus up. Sheamus tries to fight back, however, Swagger punches the bruise on Sheamus’s leg, backing him off. Sheamus, backed into the corner, gets his leg trapped in the rope, as Swagger goes after the bruise, with Chioda making a futile attempt to break them up. Sheamus fights out of it with an Irish Whip counter into a sick clothesline, following up with a pinfall attempt, only getting two on the attempt. Sheamus and Swagger go back and forth a little, until Sheamus hits a powerslam and makes a pinfall attempt. Zeb Colter tries to distract Sheamus to no immediate avail, as Sheamus countered a cheap shot attempt from Swagger, however, Sheamus gets tossed over the top and Swagger drops Sheamus’s bruised leg on the steps as we go to commercial.

Swagger is laying into Sheamus as we return from commercial. Swagger applies a leg lock on Sheamus in the middle of the ring. Sheamus counters the leg lock, however, Swagger catches Sheamus and places him in the Tree of Woe position. Mike Chioda checks on Sheamus, however, Swagger hits the Swagger Bomb and attempts to pin Sheamus, who kicks out at two. Swagger steps on Sheamus, taunts in the corner like D’Lo Brown and gets caught with an Electric Chair drop from Sheamus. Bombs get thrown by both men, and Sheamus sets up the Irish Curse backbreaker after a flurry of offense. Sheamus struggles to get to the pin, pinning Swagger only for two. Sheamus attempts to go to the top, but Swagger attempts a punch at the ropes, but Sheamus counters and hits the battering ram and only got a two count on the pin attempt. Sheamus and Swagger continue trading blows, until Sheamus launches Swagger over the top. Sheamus with the clubbing blows and a punch to the face, chases Swagger to the outside and tosses him in, however, Swagger counters into a belly to belly pinfall attempt. Sheamus kicks out at two, but Swagger locks in the Patriot Lock. Mike Chioda asks Sheamus if he wants to quit, but he says no and makes it to the ropes. Swagger breaks the hold, moves to the outside, and goes to send the bruised leg into the ring post, but Sheamus kicks Swagger dead in his grill. Swagger rolls into the ring and Sheamus Brogue Kicks Swagger across the U.S-Mexico border!

Sin Cara vs. Drew McIntyre
First things first…DON’T HINDER JINDER. John Cena said so. Secondly, Rod Zapata calls for the bell, as Sin Cara kicks McIntyre in the gut to open it up. Drew overpowers McIntyre in the corner, until Sin Cara and his funky lighting takes Drew off balance. Sin Cara and McIntyre fight on the apron, until Drew gets kicked into the ring. Sin Cara goes for a springboard, and Heath Slater catches his leg and drops him face first into the apron. Drew ragdolls Sin Cara around, until Cara hits a make shift enziguri to slow the 3MB Bassist down. Sin Cara hits a hurricanrana, and as Sin Cara attempts a tope plancha, 3MB sends Cara back into the ring. Drew rolls back into the ring and gets hit with a Hurricanrana DDT!

Damien Sandow vs. Justin Gabriel
Sandow and Gabriel lock it up in the middle of the ring as both men exchange blows, holds and pinning attempts. Sandow manages to take full control of Gabriel following a knee shot to the back followed by a modified sleeper hold. Gabriel counters the sleeper hold into a flurry of offense, and goes for the 450 splash, however, Sandow counters and sends Gabriel to the outside, while the referee starts the count!

Gabriel looks a little winded as we come back from commercial to the pleasant image of Gabriel’s chest flying into the turnbuckle. Sandow knee stomps Gabriel in the chest, followed by an Abdominal Stretch. Gabriel counters the stretch, and gets a kitchen sink for his trouble. Sandow hits the Elbow of Disdain, and attempts a pin, only for Gabriel to kick out at two. Sandow locks a body guillotine on Gabriel, however Sandow lays into Gabriel, with Gabriel following up with a corner rana sending Sandow to the outside. Sandow gets sent into the ring, and Gabriel attempts a pinfall after sending his knees into Sandow’s back. Gabriel’s pinfall attempt gets kicked out of, and Gabriel hits a moonsault for another failed pinfall. Gabriel goes for the 450, Sandow attempted a counter, only to get jumped over. Gabriel attempts a kick to Sandow, but Sandow ducks and hits a reverse slam into a failed pinfall attempt. Sandow attempts the Terminus, but gets countered out of it, Gabriel separates himself, only to get hit with a full nelson slam for the pinfall!
Winner via Full Nelson Slam: Damien Sandow
