On Sunday night, New Japan announced the full brackets for their 2016 New Japan Cup tournament that starts on March 3 in Tokyo, Japan, airing live on New Japan World:
* Tomohiro Ishii vs. EVIL
* Tetsuya Naito vs. YOSHI-HASHI
* IWGP Tag Team Champion Tomoaki Honma vs. Satoshi Kojima
* Yujiro Takahashi vs. Toru Yano
* IWGP Tag Team Champion Togi Makabe vs. Tama Tonga
* Hirooki Goto vs. Yuji Nagata
* Michael Elgin vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan
* Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bad Luck Fale
Also set for the 3/3 show is IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada & Kazushi Sakaruba vs. NEVER Champion Katsuyori Shibata & IWGP Jr. Champion KUSHIDA.
Quarter-finals for the New Japan Cup take place on 3/4 in Tokyo, finals take place on 3/12 at Maeda Arena, both airing live on New Japan World. The winner of the tournament will challenge Okada for the IWGP Title in the main event of the 4/10 Invasion Attack show from Sumo Hall in Tokyo.
