ROH Final Battle 2015 Report

First Match: The Young Bucks vs. The All Night Xpress vs. The Briscoes in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to determine the Number One Contenders to the ROH World Tag Team Championship 
Mark and Nick start off the match. After Jay is tagged in the first round of the Superkick Party from the Bucks begins on the Briscoes and ANX. The Bucks did too much posing, though, and ANX dumped them out of the ring from behind. Bodies started flying out of the ring, then Matt Jackson surprised Titus with a superkick on the floor. Nick with a big 450 splash on Rhett, Matt hit a 450 splash on Rhett, but Kenny broke up a pin just before three. Superkicks started flying again.
The Briscoes gained control with a double neckbreaker on King, but Titus broke up a pin attempt. The Briscoes tried a Doomsday Device on King, but the Bucks nailed superkicks to everyone involved to take control. The Bucks followed with a super spike Tombstone Piledriver on Jay Briscoe, but Mark broke up a pin. Mark was set up for More Bang for Your Buck, but Titus tags himself into the match. ANX cleared the Bucks from the ring.  ANX with the One Night Stand to pickup the victory.
Winner: The All Night Xpress
Second Match: Dalton Castle vs. Silas Young w/The Boys 
Castle charges across the ring to lock up with Young and drives him into the corner. Young quickly bailed from the ring and hid behind The Boys. Young continued to punish Castle on the outside before rolling him back into the ring. Young followed up with a slingshot double foot stomp to the gut for a two count. Castle came back with an overhead flip slam, but Young responded with a dive through the ropes to spear Castle to the floor. The Boys hyped up Young as he dragged Castle back into the ring. Young nailed a kick to the chest into a running clothesline for a two count. Castle with a deadlift German Suplex with a bridge for a close two count. Castle launches Young across the ring, but Young responded by jamming Castle face-first into the bottom turnbuckle for a two count. Young tried a flying attack, but Castle caught him in mid-air and delivered a release suplex.

The Boys then got involved, with Castle accidentally smacking one of the Boys. Castle distraction allowed Young to attack him from behind. Young with the Misery to Castle to pick up the victory. After the match Young took the mic and told Castle to admit that he is the real man. Young told Castle to do the right thing. Dalton shook his head and Young proceeded to stomp Castle. Young then grabbed chairs from under the ring. Young told Castle to call him a man, or he’ll sic the boys on Castle. The Boys moves toward Castle, but Castle takes the mic to stop them. Castle calls Young a man, but he’s a foolish man because the boys are his. The Boys attack Young as he turns around with steel chairs and they celebrate as Young rolls out of the ring.
Winner: Silas

Third Match: Moose w/Stokely Hathaway vs. Michael Elgin (Number One Contender Match to Determine The Number One Contender to the ROH World Heavyweight Championship)
Elgin with forearms. Elgin lifted Moose into the air for a big delayed vertical suplex. Moose popped right up to his feet and landed rhythmic right hand jabs. Moose then knocked Elgin out of the ring and dapped like he scored a TD. Moose charged towards Elgin, but Elgin side stepped and Moose crashed into the guardrail. Elgin followed up with a running cannonball splash before sending Moose back into the ring. Elgin rocked Moose with standing forearms. Elgin goes for a suplex, but Moose blocks the attempt. Moose with a big dropkick sending Elgin spilling to the floor. Moose smashed Elgin on the outside, then rolled him back into the ring. Moose wanted a big spear, but Elgin blocked with a boot to the face. Moose grabbed Elgin out of the corner for a big sit-out powerbomb for a two count.
Moose tried to follow with a powerbomb on the ring apron, but Elgin blocked and kicked Moose before hoisting him in the air for a Death Valley Driver across the ring apron. Elgin quickly followed up with a diving corkscrew splash for a two count. He then nailed a pop-up powerbomb into a deadlift powerbomb into a full Elgin Bomb, but Moose kicked out. Elgin trying to figure out what to do now. Elgin nailed a Bucklebomb, but Moose exploded out of the corner with a big spear for a close two count. Both men sold on the mat for a while before Moose came up strong. Moose wanted a top-rope move, but Elgin shoved him onto the top turnbuckle. Elgin then lifted Moose into the air and connects with the Burning Hammer to pickup the victory. After the match Moose got up and spun Elgin around. Moose extended his hand and Elgin brushed by him before lifting Moose’s hand in the air. They shook hands before Elgin got his hand raised.
Winner: Michael Elgin 

Fourth Match: Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole in a Grudge Match 
O’Reilly and Cole locked up. O’Reilly kicked Cole in the face to send Adam out of the ring to the floor. Cole picked up a chair, but O’Reilly kicked it away. O’Reilly then placed Cole in the chair and ran off the ring apron to deliver a flying dropkick to a seated Cole. O’Reilly nailed a missile dropkick. O’Reilly followed with a swift kick to the chest, then more rapid-fire kicks. O’Reilly wanted a top-ope move, but Cole shoved O’Reilly clear off the top rope to the floor. Cole clipped O’Reilly’s left leg to target the knee he was favoring a minute ago. Cole continued to target the knee, but O’Reilly suddenly applied a wristlock submission and yanked on the arm targeting Cole’s previous shoulder injury, but Cole stomped on O’Reilly’s head to break free. O’Reilly then snapped off a Regalplex for a close two count. O’Reilly followed with another wrist-grip submission, but Cole ducked under and nailed an inverted neckbreaker to break free. Cole and O’Reilly fought near the ropes, then O’Reilly grabbed Cole’s left arm and yanked down across the top rope, taking advantage of a five count to apply maximum pressure before releasing.
O’Reilly remained on the ring apron, so Cole used his unaffected feet to kick O’Reilly hard to the floor. O’Reilly with a guillotine choke, but Cole countered into a brainbuster suplex on the padded floor. Cole fell on top of O’Reilly for a cover and nearfall. Cole quickly went to a figure-four leglock in the middle of the ring, but O’Reilly reached the bottom rope for a break. Cole and O’Reilly then came to their feet for a big standing forearm/punch exchange. O’Reilly suddenly nailed repeated Japanese-style kicks underneath the chin, then slapped on another mat-based submission targeting Cole’s shoulder. But, Cole reached the bottom rope to get a break. Cole drove O’Reilly to the corner, then Cole spun over O’Reilly, trapped his shoulders to the mat, put his feet on the ropes, and referee Todd Sinclair counted a three without seeing Cole’s feet on the ropes. O’Reilly with a shoulder-wrench submission. Cole furiously tapped out since the match was over, but O’Reilly kept the hold on. Five more refs spilled out, O’Reilly relaxed, and then he re-applied the submission yanking on Cole’s shoulder. Refs eventually pulled Cole away and dragged him out of the ring.
Winner: Adam Cole 
Fifth Match: ACH, Matt Sydal and Alex Shelley vs. The Addiction & Chris Sabin 
Shelley and Daniels start off that match. Daniels lands a knee. Shelley counters with a slingshot armdrag and tags out to Sydal who gets beaten into the heel corner. Sydal quickly tags out to ACH. ACH dropkicks Sabin, but Sabin gets the advantage and makes Shelley tags in. Sabin tags Kaz. Kaz gets triple teamed by the babyfaces, and Daniels eats a standing moonsault from Sydal. ACH punts Daniels at ringside, but gets punted by Sabin, who also kicks Sydal right in the face. Sydal ends up getting worked over by Sabin and Addiction in their corner, then sandwiched with three dropkicks.
Shelley gets the hot tag and lays out The Addiction. Kaz Cutter and Au Revoir get a two count on ACH. Sydal gets knees on a Shooting Star attempt, and gets hit with a slingshot DDT. Shelley hits Kaz with a reverse STO into the buckle, but Daniels STOs him. ACH sends Daniels outside and lands Air Jordan onto Daniels and Sabin. ACH with the Midnight Star and Sydal connects with the Shooting Star Press to pickup the victory.
Winner: ACH, Matt Sydal and Alex Shelley 
Sixth Match: Roderick Strong (c) vs. Bobby Fish in a ROH World Television Championship Match 
Fish and Strong trade holds and reversals. Fish with the Fish Hook. Strong lands some strikes, but falls victim to a suplex and a somersault senton. Strong tosses Fish across the guard rail. Strong with a Olympic Slam to Fish for a two count Fish comes back and attacks the leg of Strong, and Strong keeps using it anyway, which ends up costing him. Fish scores a series of knees and kicks, but Strong comes back with his own, then runs by Fish several times with forearms and chops.
Fish grabs the leg and does a dragon screw on the apron. The two trade strikes, and Fish drops Strong with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on the floor. Fish then drops Strong across the top turnbuckle, but only gets a two count. Fish blasts Strong with a spinning wheel kick, and both men work to the top rope, where Fish kills Strong with a Super Falcon Arrow for two. Strong is up and striking Fish, but gets caught in a kneebar. Fish locks in the Fish Lock and Strong taps out, but the referee doesn’t see Strong tap. Fish celebrates and Strong connects with a running knee to pickup the victory.
Winner: Still ROH World Television Champion Roderick Strong

Veda Scott & Cedric Alexander Promo: 
Veda said they were not invited to Final Battle, but they were not going to miss this show. Veda droned on about litigation and working conditions. Veda talked over the crowd about her negotiating skills. She said a settlement has been reached with ROH for a whole lot of Cedric & Veda in 2016.
Seventh Match: The Kingdom (c) w/Maria Kanellis vs. War Machine in a ROH World Tag Team Championship Match 
The Kingdom blasted War Machine with the tag belts before the bell ranged. Kingdom followed with a spike piledriver to Rowe on the outside. Bennett then rolled Rowe back into the ring and the opening bell sounded. Taven covered Rowe, but only scored a two count. Kelly said he thinks he knows why The Kingdom tried to jumpstart the match, relaying that Bennett is wrestling with a cracked rib. The Kingdom continued to work over Rowe, who fired himself up, but missed with a clothesline. The action spilled to the outside, where Rowe suddenly got a burst to knock down Taven, then powerbomb Bennett into the barricade. Rowe then rolled Taven back into the ring. Taven was all alone in the ring and War Machine hit Fallout on Taven to pickup the victory.
Winner: New ROH World Tag Team Champions War Machine

Eight Match: Jay Lethal (c) w/Truth Martini & Taeler Hendrix vs. AJ Styles in ROH World Championship Match 
Lethal and Styles lock up. Styles with a dropkick to Lethal. Styles flips out of a monkey flip attempt, goes for a kip-up headscissors, and gets dropkicked in the face. Styles doesn’t look injured at all. He pulls a Calf Killer out of nowhere, but Lethal escapes and Martini gets involved, allowing Lethal to take Styles down and ram him back-first into the barricade several times. Lethal goes to work on the back of Styles, exposing the injury. Styles goes for his reverse DDT, but gets sent overhead into the turnbuckle by Lethal.
Lethal applies a bear hug, but Styles breaks out and gives Lethal a suplex to the corner. Styles with a reverse powerbomb for a two count. Lethal avoids a kick and turns a back suplex into a neckbreaker, but gets two and dropkicks Styles outside the ring. Lethal hits two suicide dives, but eats a back elbow on the third. Lethal applies the Koji Clutch, but Styles turns it into a Calf Killer. Lethal makes it to the ropes. Lethal Injection out of the corner, but Styles hits Pele Kick. Styles connects with the Bloody Sunday but Lethal dumps Styles outside the ring through a table. Styles gets back in the ring at the count of 19. Lethal with a Lethal Injection to Styles for a two count. Lethal gets out of a Styles Clash and hits a Cradle Piledriver. Lethal with the Lethal Injection to pickup the victory.
Winner: Still ROH World Champion Jay Lethal
