Flashback Reviews ECW December to Dismember

Been a very long time since I have done one of these. And to do this I had to become a hypocrite. Yes after bashing it and swearing I would never... I got the WWE Network. Mainly because I've wanted to do this event and didn't spending about twenty dollars to buy in on Highspots. Plus well having a membership will allow me to do a lot more of these.

This event is wildly considered one of the very worse in wrestling history. Fans in attendance hated it and chanted for TNA. Fans watching on PPV hated it. Even WWE defender admit it was a bad show. In 2006 WWE had relaunched ECW as a third brand. They pretty much than fucked it up. When RVD got busted with pot by the cops he drooped the new ECW title to Big Show. Paul Heyman the man behind ECW was quickly removed from creative and booked to be a turn coat working against all the ECW Originals. The company had six months to build for the event and pretty much ignored the whole thing. Only two matches were announced going in and one of which was a tag match with guys from Raw and Smackdown. But maybe it's not that bad. I mean I see people rip TNA events that are good all the time. Maybe the show was hurt by people refusing to accept ECW was dead and couldn't accept anything but the old ECW.

We open with a video hyping the Extreme Elimination Chamber for the ECW title. Its your usual kind of open showing highlight of the six men and past Elimination Chambers with Paul Heyman talking about how Extreme this will be. Its ok but the real problem is because the match wasn't really booked until just before the PPV there is not story to any of the six men in the match. You had Big Show the champion, Sabu and RVD as the former ECW champions with Test as the other heel and CM Punk as the young baby face. Really none of the men were feuding though which makes the stipulation seem unnecessary.

The final man in the match is Bobby Lashley who its clear WWE wants to book as the savior as the dominate force that will come in and take the title from the heel champion Big Show. Now there are some problems with this Mainly Lashley wasn't ready. For a long time it seemed Lashley struggled to connect with fans. He had some talent and was an amazing athlete but didn't connect with the fans. Also instead of letting the fans get behind him WWE just had him be chosen as the new hero (Like they are doing with Reigns.) The fans rejected him and pretty much refused to cheer him.

The event is being held in Augusta Georgia. Its been suggested over the years WWE used this city hoping it would keep “Real” ECW fans away since ECW was more of a north eastern promotion. What WWE missed was the fact ECW had run Augusta in the past and even held PPV's there. Joey talk about about how the city is know more golf but might be more known know for the infamous Extreme Elimination Chamber. Joey you had no idea did you. Tazz talk about nuts the chamber. Sadly we are getting cheesy WWE Tazz here.

MNM Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury with Melina vs. The Hardy Boyz Jeff and Matt Hardy- This match pretty much show what a mess the booking was. No one in the match was actually part of the ECW brand roster. Jeff and Nitro were feuding over the IC Title at the time. The Hardys had reunited and posed an open challenge which was answered by MNM. Earlier in the year MNM had broken up without warning with Nitro and Melina turning on Mercury and now they are together again. Joey and Tazz talk about how sad it is this will be the only time we get to see these four in an ECW ring. We get footage of MNM beating up the Hardys after a Hardy match on ECW. Joey suggest the Hardys are planning to go there separate ways after this match so it could be historic.

Matt Hardy and Joey Mercury start us off with a lock up and they fight over it. Nice side headlock takedown by Matt and a second one. Shoulder tackle by Matt Hardy and a hip toss. Stand off and in come Nitro and Jeff Hardy and than they leave. Strange I suppose the idea was to be its a powder keg that could blow at any second but than the just leave. Matt works the arm of Mercury. Hammer lock toss into a corner by Matt and he tags Jeff. Jeff hits a few moves and quick tags in Matt. Back elbow by Mercury and he tags in Nitro. Hip toss by Matt on Nitro and he works the arm again. Tag to Jeff and he comes in with a drop kick using the ropes to get two. Double team elbows by The Hardys. In comes Mercury and he gets a double team wheel barrow suplex. Nitro blocks a jaw breaker attempt by Jeff. Tag to Mercury. Double team back elbow by MNM and the pin gets two. Quick tags by MNM to trap Jeff Hardy. Good neck breaker by Nitro. Jeff moves out of the way on a standing shooting star. Tag to Matt Hardy. Splash mountian bomb by Matt. Mercury breaks up the pin fall.

Melina trips Matt and he goes out after her allowing Mercury to hit him with a forearm smash. Double team gut buster by MNN in the ring. Mercury now the legal man but he tags in Nitro. Running knee in the corner by Nitro. Cover by Nitro gets two. Nitro and Melina trade off choking Matt with Nitro distracting the ref. Cheap shot by Nitro draws in Jeff. Double team front suplex by MNM. Series of quick tags by MNM with double teamed. MNM goes for a double team suplex by Matt turn it into a double neck breaker. MNM cut off the tag to Jeff Hardy. MNM mock the Hardys hitting Poetry in Motion. Twist of fate attempt by Mercury but Matt Shoves him off. Mercury hits the ropes and takes out Nitro. Hot tag to Jeff so it house of fire time. Front suplex by Jeff on Nitro. Matt clothesline Mercury to the floor. Piscarod by Matt. Nitro dives over the top taking out Matt and Mercury. Jeff off the top splashing onto everyone. Back in the ring we miss the Poetry in Motion because WWE is showing replays. Twist of fate on Mercury. Jeff up to the top and Nitro pulls him to safety so the swanton misses. Nitro takes out Matt. Spring board missile dropkick by Nitro on Jeff gets two.

Forearms to the back by Nitro on Jeff Hardy. Tag to Mercury. Double team catapult by MNM. Tag to Nitro double team arm wring toss by MNM. Break dance into the leg drop by Nitro gets two. Nitro gives Jeff the bum's rush to the floor. Mercury holds Jeff so Melina can hit him. Tag to Mercury and he covers Jeff for two. Back breaker by Mercury and Nitro with an elbow off a tag. Matt breaks up a pinfall. Sunset flip by Jeff on Nitro but a blind tag to Mercury allows MNM to stay in control. Oklahoma roll by Mercury but Jeff kicks out and sends Mercury to the floor. Mercury pulls Matt off the apron. Matt fight with Mercury allowing Nitro to pull Jeff back to the MNM side of the ring. Legal tag to Nitro. Double team catapult attempt. Whisper in the wind by Jeff takes out MNM. Hot tag to Matt who is now the house of fire. Matt with a bulldog on Ni tor and clotheslines Mercury. Side effects for both members of MNM gets two. Body slam on Nitro Second rope leg drop by Matt gets two. Tag to Jeff. All four men in and Mercury hits a rana off the top rope on Jeff. Nitro to the top rope but Jeff cuts him off. Matt sits Mercury on the other side. Stereo superplexes by the Hardys. Melina distracts the ref on the cover. Jeff blocks a slap attempts. Jeff moves when Nitro goes for a flying boot and Melina gets hit. Roll up by Jeff gets two. Mercury back in for the snap shot but Matt makes he save.

Matt sent to the floor. MNM single they want a super snapshot. Matt saves Jeff. Double twist of fate off the ropes by Matt. Swanton on Jeff for the win. It was a good match but man it felt like it never really got going. This was something of dream match in 2006 but something was off. Like they were expecting to do more so the held back at times. Don't get me wrong it's not bad it just could have been so much better. Sadly we would never get to see this again. Later that same month Mercy was badly injured in a ladder match that caused him to relapse into pain pill addiction dealing his career.

Joey and Tazz talk about history being made in that match and the Elimination Chamber and how there will be weapons. We cut to an RVD promo. RVD talks about the risks in this match and how he could j wind up scarred or how he might not even walk out. But it will be worth it to be ECW champion Its an ok promo but was one of those time RVD sounded more board with interested. But from what I hear RVD hated this time was pretty already done mentally with WWE so it was coming through in his promos.

Matt Striker makes his entrance. Joey rants about how Matt is a jerk who had to resign from his teaching job in disgrace. For those that don't know or forgot. Matt worked as a teacher while trying to make it in wrestling. After it came out he had used sick days to take wrestling booking he was fired and the story actually got a fair amount of press. One of the dates he took was a TV taping for WWE. The company hired him and at first booked him as a face who was chasing a dream. Than they turned him heel making him an awful liar. Sadly they never really did much with him in this role. He just remined us he was that teacher that lied.

Matt talks about his opponent Balls Mahoney he looks up and see the Elimination Chamber. Matt talks about the destruction that will occur. Striker claims he will restore order and says his match will be under extreme rules... extreme enforcement of rules. Matt asks the ref enforce no eye gouging no hair pulling no moves off the top rope and no foul language. Good heel promo. Matt played to the crowd and pissed them off.

Matt Striker vs. Balls Mahoney- No feud between these two. Like I said only two of the matches were announced and the rest just tossed together. Knuckle lock into a single leg by Balls. Joey points out Mahoney actually was a ameture wrestler until he punched a referee. Leap frog by Balls but he's really low on it. Hip toss by Balls into cross arm breaker. Striker gets the ropes. Striker offers a knuckle lock by takes cheap shot. Balls goes for a shoulder tackle but Striker moves and Balls hits the corner hard. Takedown on the arm by Striker and he works it over. Hair pull take down by Striker behind the referee's back. Arm bar by Striker rolls up by Balls gets two. Arm wring takedown by Striker gets two. Top wrist lock by Striker. Balls start to fight out by Striker falls back on the arm. Stiker whips Balls shoulder first into the corner. Balls start to fight back but Matt goes back to the arm. Roll through by Balls but his arm fails him again. Side slam by Balls gets two. Balls to the top but Stiker shakes the ropes. Rolling fujiwar arm bar by Striker who screamed for Balls to tap. Balls gets the ropes. Striker goes for a headlock. Back drop driver by Balls. Back body drop by Balls. Punches using the other arm by Balls. Sit out spine buster by Balls for the win. Again this was good match. It did feel more like a TV match you would see leading to PPV. Also I would have liked to see more with “Striker Rules” where Matt was breaking his rules but getting away while Balls was forced to keep it clean.

Backstage CM Punk is warming up doing shadow boxing. We than cut to Sabu laid out on the ground with the EMT's checking him out. Paul Heyman comes running up asking what happened. Heyman rants the man is in the main event. Sabu is placed on the board with a collar. From what I understand Sabu has always been real reluctant to do any type of job. So he was removed from the main event. It's an effective segment as Joey and Tazz are silent until we cut back into the arena for the next match.

Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay enter the arean. Burke TNA fans would know as the Pope. Terkay was a short lived WWE performer who was doing a MMA fighter gimmick. The idea was Terkay was the silent killer while Burke was his hype man. Burke claims he and Terkay will make there mark and calls Terkay Man Bear.

Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay vs. The FBI Little Guido and Joey Mameluke with Trinity- Again no feud between the teams. I'm pretty sure Burke and Terkay had just been moved over from Smackdown. Guido and Burke start us off. Lockup and waste lock takedown by Burke and he slaps the back of the head. Lock up again and Burke foes for the waste lock again. This time Guido blocks it hits a drop toe hold and slaps Burke in the head. Tag to Mameluke. Headlock takedown by Mameluke. Arm wringer by Mameluke tag to Guido. Double team hip toss and elbows by the FBI. Burke tags Terkay. Knees to the gut with a head lock by Terkay. Knees have no force by Terkay. Terkay goes for a corner splash. But Mameluke moves. Tag to Guido who goes for a flying cross body. Terkay catches Guido kicks Mameluke and than tosses the FBI to the floor. Burke toss Guido into the ring. Claw by Terkay and more knees but they look really weak. Tag to Burke who hits some punches. Cover by Burke gets two.

Hard whip into the corner by Burke who runs into an elbow. Guido hits Terkay who no sells it and hits him back. Tag to Terkay. Weak looking round house kick by Terkay. Tag back to Burke. Terkay whips Burke into the corner to hit knees on Guido. Clothesline with a leg sweep by Burke. Mameluke breaks up a pin. Tag to Mameluke who hits dropkicks. Running forearm by Mameluke. Terkay in and goes after the FBI. Double dropkicks by the FBI on Terkay. Double team flap jack on Burke gets two. Terkay takes out Guido. Elijah Experience on Mameluke for the win. Bland match. Big problem is WWE clearly wanted Terkay to be a dominate monster but for all his supposed MMA, Judo, and Muay Thai training his kicks and punches looked weak.

Post match Terkay hits a muscle buster on Guido drawing a TNA chant. Terkay left wrestling shortly after this amid reports he didn't like the travel. Burke hung around for a while eventually become the lead of the New Breed a group of heels out to get rid of the old ECW. He was cut and found his way to TNA. Backstage RVD and CM Punk check on Sabu as he is loaded into an ambulance. Again they do an effective job of not having the announcer talk.

Davari with The Great Khali vs. Tommy Dreamer- Davari and Khali were yet another act that had just been sent over from Smackdown. To a point WWE had wised up and took Khali out of the ring instead having Davari wrestle while would just hit one or two big moves. Davari comes out speaking Arabic and yelling at the crowd. Dreamer had picked up a DQ win in an earlier match with Davaria when Khali interfered. Knee to the stomach with punches by Davari. Dreamer goes for a big boot but Davari bails out. Khali distract Dreamer allowing Davair to attack him from behind. Hip toss by Dreamer. Drop toe hold by Dreamer. Davir thumbs the eye and hits a drop kick Dreamer to the floor and takes a baseball slide. Whip reversed and Davari goes into the guard rail. Back in the ring dreamer hits a vertical suplex. Dreamer goes to run the ropes but Khali pulls them down. Dreamer hits the floor hard. The referee saw it and ejects Khali. Davari is pissed but calms down and convince Khali to leave so he won't be DQ'ed. Back in the ring Davari works a chin lock. Fans start chanting they want hardcore. Series of elbows by Davari gets two. Sleeper by Davari but Dream gets to his feet falls back and crushes Davari. Both men are down.

Exchange of punches with Dreamer getting the better of it. Over hands by Dreamer followed by the back body drop. Inverted DDT by Dreamer gets two. Dreamer sets for the Death Valley Driver but Davair goes to the eyes. Fight on the ropes. Daviar goes for a splash off the ropes but Dreamer moves. Davari in the tree of whoa. Dreamer with the lowest elevation dropkick ever. Dreamer goes for the DDT but roll up by Davari and he grabs the tights to steal the win. Again this wasn't an awful match it just felt more like a free TV match. I can’t say I blame the fans chanting for hardcore. Your on PPV you have Dreamer one of the guys that mixes hardcore and wrestling well but you don't even get a token chair shot.

Post match Dreamer chases Davari to the back. They disappear for a second and than Khali drags Dreamer to the stage and hits a choke bomb on the ramp. Dreamer hits the ramp with a thud. Dreamer says “I can't feel my feet.” as he is checked out. Dreamed refuses help up and stands on his own and crawls to the back. WWE wanted to make Khali a monster the problem is even for a big guy he was extremely limited and never really got over. Dreamer was already over as the never say die face.

Backstage Paul Heyman walks into Hardcore Holly's dressing room. Heyman says his obligation is to find a replacement for Sabu and gives the spot to Holly. Heyman reminds Holly its everyman for himself. As Holly smiles cocky. Joey and Tazz remind everyone Lashley stole the open contract spot that Heyman originally wanted to give Holly. Cue the fail horn folks. Holly had been moved to ECW and got a huge push of course it went over poorly since all of a sudden a jobber was supposed to be a top guy. Its to bad because they had been doing ok with Sabu attack stuff but than its just a let down now Holly is in the match instead of someone worth watching.

Mike Knox and Kelly Kelly make there entrance. Yep for all the reasons to hate the WWE version of ECW I can think of none better than it gave Kelly Kelly her first spot on the main roster. It would have been bad enough if Kelly was just supposed to be Knox's valet but now she was given the gimmick of an “Exhibitionist” and a segment called Kelly's Expose where she would come out and dance. The segment flopped as Kelly actually couldn’t dance often got lost in her routine and just wasted time. Knox was her storyline boy friend and since he was a heel he was always jealous. At this point they were dong a small story with Kelly having a crush on CM Punk. So yeah we were supposed to hate Knox from keeping the hot girl from dancing around. Yet he was in the right so he really wasn't a heel.

As Knox is going from corner to corner to pose Kelly gets the microphone from the ring announcer. Kelly wishes CM Punk good luck. And dear god I think she actually reading the lines off a note the announcer had hidden. Kelly was hunched over and she just said it so awkwardly it sounded like she was reading. I'm not just be cruel her she sounded like she had not idea who CM Punk was. Knox of course gets upset. Hell even Joey and Tazz admit that had to be humiliating. The fans chant for Punk which is the biggest pop of the night so far.

Mike Knox and Kelly Kelly vs. Kevin Thorne and Ariel- Thorne and Ariel are another infamous gimmick from this early time in ECW. There gimmick was they followed Vampiersim. A lot of people including myself mocked it but in hindsight it wasn't that bad. It wasn't like they had him turn into a bat or anything. According to Thorne though the gimmick had issues backstage. One week he was “We want to set up for a feud with Taker so wear black like he does.” Only to be told later “Why are you wearing black all the time.” Again no feud seems like they just said “Each guy has a valet do a mixed tag.” I think Tazz just took a shot and how untrained Kelly is. Which is true. Kelly was signed after Johnny Ace saw her in a catalog and was promoted when she asked to be released because she didn't like training in developmental. The men start lock up and each man shoves the other off once showing there power. Haymaker and kicks by Thorne. Running back elbow takes Knox off his feet. Neck snap by Throne and he hammers the chest. Big lariat by Knox on Thorne and he punches the face of Thorne. Short arm clothesline by Throne and he hammers the chest again. Shoulder to the chest by Thorne and than punches and kicks. Punches and kicks by Knox with a power slam gets two.

Meanwhile Ariel won't stop yelling while Kelly keeps over acting on everything. Big boot by Knox and a cover. Thorne gets his foot on the rope. Crappy looking neck crank by Knox. Front face lock by Knox. Throne drives Knox into the corner and Ariel tags in. Knox tags in Kelly. And they circle each other. Crappy kick by Ariel and Kelly just falls over. Hair pull, chokes and Kelly seems to understand she had to react but doesn't know how to sell. She just tries screaming and coughing. Aries uses her boot to choke Kelly. Hair pulls and Kelly is just screaming. Kelly crawls towards Knox but he won't tag in and walks off. Kelly reaction just is to look sad. Awful looking STO by Ariel for the win.

Joey sums it up perfectly “Mercifully it's over.” Knox and Throne pretty much just repeat punch kick one power move one rest hold there entire time. Outside the ring the two divas really make it worse. Ariel yelled the entire time to the point of just grating on the nerves. Kelly had these real basic over reactions like a kid playing wrestling in the back yard. It only got worse once they taged in. Ariel's offense was awful she had some idea of moves she wanted to do but wasn't sure how to pull them. Kelly's selling was awful. She figured just yelling was enough but didn't react with her body at all. It also seemed like she had no idea how to fall correctly and if Ariel had tried anything more advance she would have killed her.

Tazz rants about what a SOB Mike Knox is for setting Kelly up like this. Ariel starts to pound on Kelly with the worse looking punches I have ever seen. Sandman's music starts and he makes his trademark entrance. Kelly and Ariel just leave as Sandman hits Thorne with the Singapore Cane. Thorne runs off and Sandman drinks another beer. Well its your typical Sandman spot come out drink cain shots and drink some more. Took nearly 90 mins but we finally got something that was an actual ECW like moment.

Backstage Rebecca (no last name I guess) interview Bobby Lashley. She asks about Heyman having it for Lashley. We get footage of a recent Lashley vs Big Show match. We see Lashley hitting some big moves on Show before Heyman's goons and Test interfere. Big Show lays out Lashley with Heyman counting three. Lashley says he doesn't care what Heyman throws at him and he's one man with one mission to be ECW champion. Awful segment Rebecca sounded like she had no idea how to an interview. Lashley mean while came off real wooden. Today Lashley can deliver a decent promo but it took him a long time to get used to. Elsewhere we see Big Show walking towards the ring with Heyman, Test, Holly, and Heyman's two masked goons. Nice little segment to make it clear Heyman has stacked the odds for his guy.

Promo video hyping the chamber. We get quick highlight of the six men. In a nice touch they have Sabu as one of the six not Holly making it seem like the pan was for Sabu to be part of the match. Its an ok Video as WWE has always done production stuff like this really well.  Paul Heyman makes his entrance with his goons who were former WWE Tag champions the Bashams in riot gear. Tazz rants about what a low life Heyman is for turning on ECW. Heyman talks about how Hulkamania will die with Hogan and the Woos will die Flair but ECW will live on thanks to him. Heyman says he will top himself with the Extreme Elimination Chamber. Heyman reminds us Sabu will miss his chance causing the fans to boo. Heyman talks about how the day of Sabu, Sandman and Rob Van Dam have come to an end. And how ECW is a Global Phoneme thanks the ECW champion The Big Show. Very blah promo.

The idea was supposed to be that in order to get ECW back Heyman had sold out. Thus he became for a lack of a better term a WWE guy. The problem is by doing this Heyman was turned into just another boring heel boss. It also doesn't help that Heyman talked about a new era being led by Big Show a guy just as old Sabu, RVD, and Sandman.

Extreme Elimination Chamber For the ECW Title Big Show © vs. Test vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Bobby Lashley vs. RVD vs. CM Punk- What makes the match “Extreme is the fact each pod will have a weapon in it. Other wise it's a normal Elimination Chamber. They try to hype up like it's the end all be all but all that really means there are four weapons. Big Show is out first and goes into a pod with a barb wire baseball bat in it. CM Punk is the second man out and take a pod with a steel chair as the weapon. Third man is is Test and goes into the pod with a crowbar. Bobby Lashley is the fourth man leaving him with the table pod. That means RVD and Hardcore Holly will start us off. So before we even start this match do you see the problems?

On ECW's PPV the only true ECW guy was RVD. Don't get me wrong I know they had to build new stars (And I've been the let ECW stay dead guy for a while) but it's not like they got behind a true new generation. Big Show had been a main eventer for years and by this point it was known he was taking a break after this how. Holly was a career long jobber with a few token pushes over the years. Test was a guy they tried time and again to make a star for it to never quite work. Not helping was the fact Big Show had not rival until Lashley showed up. During his months long title reign he would defend the title randomly against people like Batista or Ric Flair not ECW guys. There is no drama going into this match as most fans knew Lashley was going to win. Except it wasn't like Lashley had been built for it. He had been directionless on Smackdown for months until he just showed on ECW one night.

RVD in control early but runs into a clothesline by Holly that doesn't even get one. Exchange of punches and kicks. Holly tosses RVD onto the steel and than snaps his neck on the ropes. RVD to the top and goes to leap onto Holly. Holly moves and RVD lands on the chains like Spider Man. RVD tries again and Holly moves. RVD lands hard on the ropes. Body slam by Holly on the steel plates. RVD tossed into the chain wall. Another body slam by Holly. Holly to the top and jumps. RVD gets the boot up. Rolling Thunder over the top rope by RVD. Vertical suplex by Holly sends them back into the ring. Holly covers and gets two. Drop kick by Holly gets two. First five minutes is up and the first man freed is CM Punk. Fans pop for CM Punk. Punk tosses the chair at Holly and hits the diving clothesline on RVD. RVD catches the chair on another toss by Punk and tosses it right back. Monkey flip by RVD sends Punk crashing onto the chair. RVD tries the leg sweep but Punk hits a leg drop by jumping up. Spring board dropkick by Punk on Holly.

RVD is busted open. Chair wedged in the corner and Punk tosses RVD face first into it. Punk tries a rana on Holly who blocks it and swing Punk into the wall. Holly covers and gets one. Front suplex onto the ropes by Holly on Punk. Superplex by Holly on Punk. RVD covers Punk. Camera misses it as we see Big Show not reacting. Punk kicks at two. Running knee by Punk on Holly. Punk goes for a bull dog but RVD kicks him. Test is released from the pod and goes after Punk with the crow bar before digging it into RVD's cut. Test uses the crowbar to choke Punk. Stunner by Punk to get free. RVD with a series of clotheslines on Holly. RVD with a chair shots to Test and Holly. Surf's up on CM Punk by RVD. Van Dam to the top rope five star on Punk. 1 2 3 and Punk is gone. The fans boo loudly. Man that make RVD look stupid I get it's supposed to be every man for himself. Joey and Tazz keep saying that over and over again BTW. But come on your in a fight with two guys teaming up to kick your ass and you take out the one guy that might be willing to help you. Or at the very least the one guy that hasn't publicly sided with Heyman.

Test suddenly goes after Holly with a big boot and eliminates the former Sparky Plug.. Jumping side kick from the top by Van Dam takes out Test. RVD climbs on top Big Show's pod. Big Show reaches up through he steel mesh and holds onto him. Test pulls RVD off the pod and hits hard. Test to the top of the bod with a big elbow. Test cover and RVD is done. Fans start chanting bullshit and TNA. They are pissed off that the two guys they wanted to win are out. Huge mistake by WWE they were so desperate to push Lashley to the top they turned the fans against him before he even got in the match. Another five minutes up and Lashley is set to be free. But the goons attack the person supposed to release the pd and seal it shut. Test taunts the trapped Lashley. Lashley uses the table to smash open the steel mesh. Lashley climbs out of his pod.

Test has gone on full stupid villain waits until Lashley is free and standing before trying to attack by climbing up to cut him off. Lashley knocks Test off the pod. Diving clothesline off the top rope by Lashley. Test whipped hard into a pod and it breaks. Test send into another pod and it breaks. Remember when WWE claimed those pods were bullet proof? Test uses his boot to choke Lashley in the corner. Test has a chair but Lashley kicks it into his face. Running clotheslines by Lashley. Lashley not playing to the fans at all. He was really bad at that back than. Crowbar shot to the stomach and a spear by Lashley to eliminate Test. Still a minute before Big Show is free. Heyman yells at Big Show to rip him apart. Lashley is trying to set up the table instead just throws it at Big Show's pod. Lashley hits the pod with a chair.

Finally the time is up. Big Show grabs the barbwire bat and exits his pod. Lashley still has the chair. The fans chant TNA. Big Show swings the bat but Lashley uses the chair to block. Bag gets caught in in the chamber. Lashley rams Big Show's head into the chamber Finally Lashley thinks to play to the fans. But it's to late. Big Show tossed into a pod and it breaks. Big Show bleeds as Lashley pounds on him. Heyman is freaking out. Big Show tosses Lashley over the ropes to the ring and hits an awful looking clothesline. Big Show gos for the choke slam but Lashley turns it into a DDT. Fans chanting for Big Show. Punches with Lashley landing while Big Show misses. Lashley goes for a jumping move. Big Show catches and sets up for the dominater. Lashley escapes. Spear by Lashley 1 2 3 and Lashley wins. Well that was bad. Where do I even start? The fact the for all the talk about the extreme chamber it was the same old chamber. The fact WWE was so desperate to make Lashley the man they rushed him into a match with no build and jobbed out the guys fans wanted to see. How just the fact Lashley still wasn't ready for this kind of push. While he could do the moves he lacked the charisma at the time to connect with the fans. And what should have been an overcoming of the odds felt more like a huge muh moment.

This Pay Per View was truly bad. Its best moments still just come off as a boring TV match or segment. The WWE had six months to get ready for this PPV and clearly just forgot about it. Finally the decided “Lets crown a new champion.” But they never built to Lashley being champion. Hell it comes off like they had just picked him to even more to ECW. The Mixed Tag Match was a disaster as Kelly and Ariel had no business in the ring. All and all this one awful PPV. Skip it don't even waste time if you have the network.
