No partnership between WWE and WWN/Evolve

Discussions between WWE and WWN/Evolve regarding some type of partnership appear to have ended without a deal. The two companies were rumored to be discussing a partnership of some kind in early June. Evolve booker Gabe Sapolsky did not respond to a request for comment on the matter as of this update. WWE previously had no comment regarding the rumored discussions between the two sides.

One source noted that the feeling within WWE is that they don't have to pay someone to assess independent talent when they have people within the company such as William Regal who are doing that now. Others felt that the idea was for WWE to compensate WWN/Evolve to some level so the promotion could provide independent talent with a place to work outside Ring of Honor.

Opinionated View- I see this as good news. I don't want WWE to start taking over indy companies. Keep the Independent in Independent wrestling. If WWE takes over EVOLVE there would be changes. Any time WWE has some type of developmental deal they limit who can be booked. Look at Trent Barretta for example he works a lot with WWN. WWE could go "Well already had him and have no interest in brining him back. So don't book him as much."
