This year’s Destination X opens up with Austin Aries standing in the ring earlier today talking about his big match tonight. He said tonight he once again regains his World Title.
A special Destination X opening video plays and we cut to the slam packed Manhattan Center where Dixie Carter’s music interrupts the cheering fans.
Dixie walks out alongside Rockstar Spud, EC3, Rhino, Big Zek, and Snitsky. Zeke and Snitsky are wearing “Dixieland” shirts. Dixie messes with the crowd as they boo the hell out of her. She taunts them by asking what happened to their “hometown boys” last week. She calls the fans pathetic and that they are living in the past. Rhino takes the microphone and screams at the fans to show Dixie some respect and they should respect the Carter’s. Dixie says because she loves the people if they want to chant “ECW” then she give them “ECW,” but she isn’t going to give them the broken down old has-beens like Dreamer and 3D. She further taunts the crowd by reminding them that 3D “bailed” on ECW and then ECW died. She says that she has given the fans the “true ECW” with Big Zeke and Snitsky obviously referring to them working for the WWE’s version of ECW. She says that she has also given them a true star in EC3.
EC3 says that she is the president and he is the general and then introduces us to his “Army of Extreme” and he calls Big Zeke “the one true champion of that former company.” He says that he will no longer be known by the name that was given to him by some “random name generator” and instead he will be known Rycklon (his real name). He says that everytime the fans chant “ECW” they are chanting for Gene Snitsky and then he calls Rhino his “mercenary.” The fans chant “you sold out” at Rhino and he nods smiling at the chant. EC3 says that this is war and he proposes one final battle for Dreamer and 3D. The fans chant “we want tables” and EC3 says that Dixie will never go through a table. EC3 challenges Dreamer and 3D to one last match and he says they will tear the house down and then build it back up brick by brick as the “House that Carter built.” EC3 says he is going to put Dreamer down for good.
Backstage former X-Division Champion Homicide, indy star Brian Cage, and former X-Division Champion Low-Ki are shown warming up as they will take part in the X-Division Title Tournament.
