8/26 WWE Main Event Report

Seth Rollins is out to start the show, as they roll footage of the 2-on-1 match with Roman Reigns and Kane last night on Raw.
SETH ROLLINS vs. ROB VAN DAM
The two stare each other down and RVD does his pose, so Rollins kicks him in the gut and backs him into the corner, firing off with rights and lefts. Van Dam comes out of the corner with a lariat, and delivers and kick to the side of the head. He does the pose again, and Rollins attacks him from behind. RVD with a roll-up for a close count, then a leg scissors pin for another close count, then he kicks him in the head and dumps him over the top rope. He does the pose again, and this time actually finishes it, before flying over the ropes, taking them both to the floor. After a brief commercial break, Rollins is in control with a hammer lock in the middle of the ring. The fans chant for Rob and he breaks out of the hold, dumping his opponent into the turnbuckle. RVD now goes to work on the left arm, hitting him with half dozen drop-down slams to the mat. He throws Seth into the post, then hits him with a side kick from the second turnbuckle. He goes up top for the Five Star, but Seth Rollins recovers and throws him to the floor, colliding with the barricade en route. He starts to count with the referee, and celebrates at 9-and-a-half, but RVD rolls back into the ring. Rollins goes on the hunt, throwing him into the barricade several times, into the post, and off the apron. The referee gets to a count of 7, and Van Dam counters, throwing Rollins over the barricade and running back into the ring for a count-out victory.
Winner: Rob Van Dam (via count-out)
Seth tries to take a cheap shot, but RVD blocks it and levels him with a right hand. Rollins escapes to the outside and trash talks up the ramp to safety.

They show a backstage segment from “earlier today” where Adam Rose and the Rosebuds find Curtis Axel sulking. Rose says he’s sorry about Ryback getting injured, but offers him a spot on his crew. Axel calls them all freaks, Rose calls him a lemon, and dances to the ring.
ADAM ROSE vs. CURTIS AXEL
Axel out-wrestles Rose and slaps him in the back of the head. He calls him a freak again, and Rose comes out swinging with right hands and backs his opponent into the corner. Axel with a lariat to the back of the neck for a two-count. He hits a dropkick to the back of the head, and goes into a side headlock for a few minutes. The Rosebuds come back out and start dancing and singing, and Axel gets frustrated at them. Rose takes advantage of the distraction and plants him with a big spinebuster. He comes off the ropes with a forearm shot, followed by another, throws an elbow out of the corner. Rose comes off the top rope with a head scissors takedown, then splashes Axel in the corner. He sets up for the Party Foul, but Axel throws him into the turnbuckle. Party Foul attempt #2, and this time he gets it.
Winner: Adam Rose
We get to watch the Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman video package from Raw last night in its entirety. We also get to watch the Hall of Fame panel for the 10th time, where they talk about John Cena having no chance at Night of Champions.

They roll footage of Stardust and Goldust attacking the Usos on Raw last night.
LOS MATADORES vs. GOLDUST & STARDUST
No sign of Hornswoggle with El Torito tonight. Diego does some high flying stuff that frustrates Stardust to start off the match. He gets taken to the corner with a headscissors takedown, and Fernando tags in to continue the beatdown. He hits a monkey flip out of the corner, and Diego tags in with a dropkick. Cody sneaks under Diego and makes the hot tag to Goldust, who comes in and slaps the heck out of his opponent. He hits an inverted atomic drop, then a kick to the side of the head, then a powerslam for two. After a commercial break, Goldy hits a springboard elbow and tags in his brother. Cody locks in a hammer lock and starts to pound away with knees to the back. Fernando gets the hot tag – the fans actually boo him – and takes down Goldust with a few high flying moves. He throws his knees into the corner, and comes off the top rope; Gold side-steps the move and tags in Cody. He hits his finisher for the win.
Winners: Goldust & Stardust
After the match, Stardust takes El Torito and throws him out of the ring. They pose together as the fans go dead silent, and the show awkwardly goes off the air.

Opinionated View- I don't care if RVD did win via count out there is no reason RVD should be beating Seth Rollins. Rest of the show looks like pure trash.
