Update on The Return of Batista to the WWE
Many have wondered what Batista's role will be when he returns to WWE. During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was speculated that the early plan was for Batista to return as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, win the match and then go on to face Randy Orton for the WWE Title at WrestleMania.
Batista has been putting on a lot of muscle for his return to WWE. The deal was set up by Triple H. Batista isn't getting as good of a deal as Brock Lesnar, but he is getting a very, very good deal. It will include appearances at PPVs, RAW, Smackdown and live events. It's said to be a "close to full time" deal that will keep him in the company past WrestleMania.
- WWE has quietly pulled all advertisements for Batista's return to the company that were leaked by several online ticketing websites over the weekend. Some felt as if WWE was behind the leak, in order to generate online buzz for his return. This is not the case, as WWE officials are said to be very upset that the news got out.
