According to reports WWE decided to run the Cena choosing Daniel Bryan angle this week because they wanted to get the Summerslam main event announced as soon as possible. The original plan was for Cena to choose Bryan after the premiere of Total Divas. The Cena/Bryan storyline heading into the PPV is expected to tie into the show featuring Cena and Bryan's relationships with The Bella Twins.
