6/26 WWE Main Event Report

We are in Columbia, South Carolina and your announcers are Josh ‘We Wrestle on Wednesday’ Mathews and Miz.
Match Number One: Chris Jericho versus Cody Rhodes

They lock up and Jericho backs Rhodes into the corner but Cody escapes. They lock up again and Rhodes with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Jericho with a drop kick and he clotheslines Cody over the top rope to the floor. Jericho with a baseball slide to Rhodes and then he goes to the floor and sends Cody into the ringside barrier. Jericho with a chop and he sends Cody back into the ring.

Jericho runs Cody into the corner and he connects with punches but the referee is out of position to miss a thumb to the eyes by Rhodes. Cody works on the face of Jericho and the referee holds Rhodes back to check on Jericho.

Jericho with chops but Cody with a kick and snap mare. Cody misses a Shining Wizard and Jericho with a rollup for a near fall. Jericho with chops but Cody with a kick and he sends Jericho shoulder first into the ring post as we go to commercial.

We are back and Rhodes with a reverse chin lock. Jericho sends Cody to the mat but Cody with a drop toe hold and Rhodes gets a near fall. Rhodes with punches to the head and Jericho continues to have trouble seeing. Rhodes with a gourdbuster for a near fall.

Rhodes with a forearm to Jericho followed by a kick. Jericho with chops followed by an Irish whip to the sternum. Jericho with a forearm to the back and then Cody goes up top for a moonsault and he connects but can only get a two count. Rhodes punches Jericho.

Cody with a cross face on Jericho but Jericho with a shoulder tackle or two. Cody sends Jericho over the top rope but Jericho goes up top and hits a double sledge. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but Cody escapes. Cody hits Beautiful Disaster but Jericho kicks out at two.

Jericho with an elbow and then he goes up top and hits a cross body but only gets a two count. Jericho with chops. Cody with an Irish whip and Jericho tries to float over and Cody catches him and hits an Alabama Slam but only gets a two count. Cody with a punch but Jericho with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.

Jericho with a kick and he hits the bulldog. Jericho goes for the Lionsault but Cody moves and Jericho lands on his feet. Cody hits Cross Rhodes but Jericho kicks out at two. Jericho with a Codebreaker and both men are down.

Jericho takes too long to make the cover and Rhodes is able to get his foot on the ropes. Jericho gets another near fall. Rhodes with a punch and rollup for a near fall. Cody with a boot to the head and the referee warns him. Jericho with a double leg take down and Jericho tries to get Rhodes over for the Walls of Jericho and he succeeds and Cody taps out.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Now that it is out on DVD, we get to see the same The Call video package with Halle Berry that aired when the movie was released in theaters.

We are back and Antonio Cesaro and Zeb Colter come out. Zeb introduces himself and Antonio. It is fitting tonight that they are in a state whose school mascot is called a Gamecock. Someone asked him what a gamecock is and he did not know. He said that he looked on Google and it was a fighting chicken. It will help him make a point. The first thing a chicken does is it gets up at the crack of dawn and it tells everyone to wake up.

On Friday night, two things are scheduled. One is a Dublin Street Fight and the other is a Fiesta Del Rio. The last time he looked, they were living in the United States. You don’t hear English any more. He hears people speaking in different languages and he calls it gibberish. If you computer breaks down and you have to call customer service and you are calling India or Pakistan and it sounds like the Great Khali.

For all of the people guilty of what he talks about. If you don’t read, write, or understand English ‘Adios Amigos’. He translates and says that it means hit the road Jack.

Antonio is more ‘Real American’ than 95 percent of the people watching tonight.

Antonio says that he is everything that the people want to be. Instead of having a sense of entitlement waiting for a hand out, he has a sense of pride. He did not sneak across the border like a criminal or have a big company help him, he did it the right way. He knows what it is like to start at the bottom and work hard to get to the top, no matter who or what stands in your way. That is the American Way.

The freedom that everyone takes for granted, he embraces and it makes him the personification of the American Dream.

Zeb says that he wants his country back. With Antonio’s help, we will take it back.

Match Number Two: Christian versus Dean Ambrose in a Non Title Match

The bell rings and Ambrose goes to the floor and Christian follows. Ambrose attacks Christian when he returns to the ring. Ambrose with punches and then he runs his forearm across Christian’s face. Ambrose with an Irish whip but Christian with an elbow and then he tries for the Killswitch but Ambrose escapes.

Ambrose goes over the top when Christian ducks down. Christian follows to the floor and Ambrose with a clothesline. Ambrose returns Christian into the ring and he chokes Christian in the ropes. Ambrose with punches against the ropes and Ambrose hits a drop kick with Christian against the ropes and Ambrose gets a near fall. Ambrose works on the legs and then he stomps on the midsection.

Ambrose returns to the legs and he applies a chin lock with the legs trapped. Ambrose tries for a belly-to-back suplex but Christian lands on his feet and he punches Ambrose. Christian with a forearm and he goes to the turnbuckles and hits a sunset flip for a near fall. Ambrose with a knee to the midsection and Christian goes to the apron.

Ambrose misses a punch and Christian drops the back of Ambrose’s head on the top rope. Christian goes up top but Rollins comes out and attacks Christian. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Christian (by disqualification)

After the match, The Shield attack Christian and The Usos come to he ring and they take care of Rollins and Reigns.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the Raw Rebound.

We are reminded that Curtis Axel and CM Punk will face Darren Young and Titus O’Neil.

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is official that we will get a six man tag match with Christian and The Usos facing The Shield.

Match Number Three: Darren Young and Titus O’Neil versus Brodus Clay and Tensai (with Cameron, Naomi, and Jo Jo)

Clay and Young start things off and Young goes after Tensai on the apron. Young goes to the floor and Tensai with a clothesline on the floor and he sends Young back into the ring. Young argues with Tensai and Clay clotheslines him over the top rope.

Titus tags in and so does Tensai. Tensai barks to mock Titus and Titus with a side head lock and Tensai with a shoulder tackle. Titus with punches and kicks but Tensai with a shoulder tackle. Tensai with an Irish whip and Titus floats over and he kicks Tensai and then he punches Tensai. Young tags back in and he walks on Tensai’s chest and then Titus drops Young on Tensai with a gourdbuster and Young gets a near fall.

Titus tags back in and he sends Young into Tensai. Titus with a shoulder tackle and he shows Tensai how to bark. Titus has something to say to Clay while Tensai tries to get up. Titus with a splash into the corner. Titus misses a second splash and Tensai with a waist lock and he sends Titus over the top rope to the floor while Tensai struggles to get across the ring to make the tag.

Clay tags in and he clotheslines Titus a few times. Clay with a Sheeeplex to Titus followed by a splash into the corner. Clay with a power slam but Young breaks up the cover. Tensai sends Young to the floor but Clay misses a splash into the corner and Young sends Clay shoulder first into the ring post.

Titus with the cover and Young holds down the leg and Titus gets the three count.

Winners: Titus O’Neil and Darren Young
