Cody Rhodes Back Next Week, Post-Surgery Tyson Kidd Update

Cody Rhodes is expected back on TV next week. He’s been off the road since Dusty Rhodes’ passing.
– Tyson Kidd is said to be doing well following his neck surgery on June 24th. The surgery is said to have gone well and he is in less pain now than he was after his knee surgery a few years back. Natalya made a joke about him having Cena healing powers. She’s still off TV while she helps Kidd recover; she was brought to TV but wasn’t used on Raw, instead participating in a Be a STAR rally, and went home before Smackdown.

WWE Superstar Denies Talent Meetings, Alleged WWE Insider Calls Him Out On It

As we previously reported, WWE insider and Reddit user MetsFan4Ever recently revealed that a talent meeting happened before RAW about the Royal Rumble and the possible winner. According to that report, Triple H said that no final decision has been made about the winner and encouraged everyone to step up. The winner would be decided after evaluations over the next few weeks.
Cody Rhodes recently posted on his second, personal Twitter account that he uses to post out of character. He wrote:

I keep hearing about "talent meetings"... Those are near impossible to hold and I haven't seen one in over a year.

Notes on Cody Rhodes and the Stardust Gimmick

Cody Rhodes has changed his Twitter name to "Stardust," and also changed his Twitter profile image to a graphic that also reads "Stardust". Stardust also trended worldwide on Twitter during Raw last night. 

The Stardust name is a nickname that Cody's father Dusty used back in the Florida territory.

Update on Cody Rhodes/Goldust Split

WWE is planning to split Cody Rhodes and Goldust and then feud the brothers. WWE has been teasing the split on TV, and Cody will be the heel when the team officially breaks up.

Update on Status of Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust Match for WrestleMania 30 (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust is no longer happening at WrestleMania 30. Unless WWE decides to change their plans over the next week, the split between The Brotherhood will not happen. No reason has been revealed on why WWE opted not to put the match on the card. The split was expected to happen after the duo lost the WWE tag team titles to the New Age Outlaws at the Royal Rumble.

Opinionated View- THANK YOU GOD! Now maybe we can get really lucky and not have Goldust on the card at all.

Cody Rhodes And Goldust Plans

- Cody Rhodes vs Goldust is set for Wrestlemania 30, and the two will split up at the Elimination Chamber PPV. Goldust originally signed a deal that would expire right after Wrestlemania. Instead, the contract has been extended until after Summerslam. He will likely become an agent backstage after his run is over. 

Opinionated View- Well I guess after year of begging and pleading Goldust is finally getting his wish. I'm sick of this guy getting chance after chance after chance. You know he's going to blow it.

Note on Outlaws vs. Rhodes Feud

- There was a lot of back and forth on the Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs New Age Outlaws tag team title match scheduled for the Royal Rumble Kickoff show on Sunday. Originally WWE wanted to do the tag title match on Smackdown last week, but instead decided to run the non-title match to give the Outlaws a win so they could book the title match on the PPV.

Opinionated View- All I can say is bullshit. The Outlaws have no business getting a title match or getting on this card.

Tag Title Match Added for Royal Rumble Kickoff

-The Kickoff for the Royal Rumble match will be the previously announced Goldust and Cody Rhodes vs. The New Age Outlaws for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Opinionated View- Are you telling me that on one of the biggest shows of the year they can find a match for the freaking Old in Age Outlaws and Goldust. For the love of god it 2014 and we still put up with this shit. Yet we got The Usos, Tyson Kidd etc who at best will be lucky to get in the rumble. Oh but I bet Billy Rodd Dogg and Goldust all get in the rumble. 

Match Set for 1/17 WWE Smackdown

As announced on last night's (1/13) WWE RAW, The New Age Outlaws vs. WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Goldust will take place on the 1/17 edition of WWE Smackdown, which will be taped tonight in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Opinionated View- Why? Its bad enough that Goldust in on TV all the time now we the Outlaws on each show. Again these guys all have had there chance to star but instead we are getting them again in 2014 I won't be shocked if the outlaws get a Royal Rumble match at this rate

Brandi Runnels, the wife of Cody Rhodes, has reported to WWE developmental. She will go by the name Brandi Rhodes, and is said to be on the "fast track" for the main roster.

Vince McMahon Reportedly Frustrated With Cody Rhodes’ Commentary

- Vince McMahon was reportedly frustrated with Cody Rhodes' commentary during the Usos vs. Shield match on Raw this week. Cody was reportedly supposed to "take charge" on commentary, and Vince felt he did not do that, and instead gave typical babyface responses to the questions. McMahon was feeding lines to JBL in order to up the intensity of the segment. JBL is said to be McMahon's go to guy for when he want certain points on commentary emphasized. 

Another source denies Vince was upset with Cody, but does admit that Vince pushed JBL to "go after Cody" on commentary.

Why Did The Rhodes Brothers Win The Tag Titles on Raw?

- One of the reasons that Cody Rhodes and Goldust won the tag team titles on Monday's Raw was because Vince McMahon was not happy that heels held all of the WWE Titles.

Opinionated View- So why not put the WWE title on face Daniel Bryan when you had a chance oh right that would make sense and you wanted to reward Goldust for staying sober for 3 days.

Tag Team Title Match Discussed For Hell in a Cell

Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. The Shield's Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for the WWE Tag Team Titles was originally scheduled for the Hell in a Cell PPV. Vince McMahon made the call to move the match to last night's Raw and do the title change.

At this time, the company is looking to do Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. The Shield's Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. The Usos at the Hell in a Cell PPV.

Opinionated View- There is some good talent there but Goldust sucks so much he will drag them all down. Giving him a title again is a joke. It screws over the Shield doesn't help Cody at all and screws the Usos who were supposed to be number one contender.

WWE Battleground Match to be Set up Monday (SPOILERS)

As previously reported, Dusty, Cody and Dustin Rhodes will all be at Raw on Monday. They will be there at the invitation of Triple H, with the idea to book a Rhodes Family vs. Shield six man tag team match. The match has reportedly been on the schedule for the Battleground PPV since last week.

Opinionated View- The Rhodes Family you gotta be kidding me. I want Cody to do well but come on Dusty who looks like he's 80 year's old whose last good match came in the Reagan years? We really got to see him wrestle again and have the Shield sell for him. You want to do a big match with him? And Dustin the guy whose gotten how many chances and when was the last time people gave a damn about him 1998? You want to a match with Dusty and Dustin in Cody's corner I could get behind that. Also doesn't this screw up Ziggler and Usos who are feuding with the Shield?

WWE has posted a video where Triple H has invited the Rhodes Family to Raw for a business opportunity.  Dustin Runnels posted on Twitter he was meeting with Cody and Dusty to discuss it.

Opinionated View- Why I am happy Cody is taking part in a big story I have zero interest in Dusty and Dustin. They played there role early on but let make this about Cody. Not about two old guys that have had there time.

Opinionated View- GOD DAMN IT! I knew this was coming and yes I will admit it makes perfect sense given the story they are telling but that doesn't mean I can't hate it. If we are lucky Dusty will only cut a promo and than get walked out but this is WWE odds are we getting a match. And I don't like Dusty matches from his prime much less now when he's pushing 70.
