Teddy Hart has avoided prosecution on charges of assault, unlawful confinement and sexual assault in Canada. The Calgary Herald reports that charges against Hart were withdrawn at a preliminary hearing on May 26th, as the case didn’t meet the criteria needed to move forward.
The accusations came from claims by two women in Sherwood Park stemming from incidents in 2013 and 2014. Hart signed a peace bond on the same day of the hearing agreeing not to contact either woman for two years.
Hart’s lawyer told the outlet, “Teddy has had this fog of charges over him for a year and a half,” Teskey said Thursday. “He’s relieved and looks forward to getting back to work.”
