Brock Lesnar returning to the UFC at UFC 200

During UFC 199 tonight in Los Angeles, a promo was shown for the upcoming UFC 200 PPV on July 9 in Las Vegas. The end of the promo featured a shot of Brock Lesnar throwing a punch with his famous lines from UFC 87 yelling, “Can you see now? Can you see me now!?” Lesnar’s opponent has not yet been determined.

UFC 200 was already a loaded card featuring Daniel Cormer vs. Jon Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for the interim UFC Featherweight Championship and Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne.

MMAFighting.com first broke the story on Saturday regarding Lesnar making a return to MMA for the UFC. A report by The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online states that Lesnar, who is still under contract with the WWE, took the fight with approval from WWE. WWE is expected to be promoting the fight during WWE broadcasts in the coming weeks. Lesnar publicly agreed to a new multi-year deal with WWE back in March of 2014 and had seriously considered a return when his prior WWE deal was coming to an end. He last fought at UFC 141 in December of 2011 and announced he would be retiring after that fight setting up a return to WWE in April of 2012 following WrestleMania 28.

Opinoinated View- YES! Look I can't stand Brock as a pro wrestler but I was a fan of him as a MMA fighter. I know some will bash him and they are of course entitled to there opinion but I think the guy doesn't get enough credit. He beat all time great in Couture a man known for beating bigger guys and over coming the age issue. He had already retired Heath Hearing a very experienced and dangerous fighter. He blew past Frank Mir a two time world champion. He got sick and came back to beat Shane Carwin a guy who was undefated at the time and finished everyone.

Hell even his losses aren't that bad. Lost to Mir a BJJ black belt and again former world champion in only his second fight. Again came back to beat him with ease in rematch. Lost to Cain a bad match up for anyone. Than he got sick again had major surgery and lost to Reem a great fighter who some said was the best heavyweight in the world at that time.

Plus no Suplex City or Heyman promos this summer YES YES YES!
