Original Plans For Rollins vs. Reigns & WWE World Title Revealed

PWInsider Elite reports that Roman Reigns was planned to win the WWE World Heavyweight title from Seth Rollins before Rollins’ knee injury. WWE is currently rewriting their original plans, including for Wrestlemania 32, due to the fact that Rollins will be out for 6-9 months.

WWE planned on Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for Survivor Series and TLC in December. It’s unknown which PPV Reigns would have won the belt at, but Rollins was set to drop it. The plan going into Wrestlemania season was for Reigns to be champion. There’s no word on how these plans will affect the tournament at Survivor Series to crown the new champion.
Rollins will fly home from the UK today or tomorrow and will go back to Iowa. While he hasn’t scheduled surgery yet, he will very soon.

Opinionated View- Always be careful with reports like this. For all we know it's a writer needing some clicks going "Well they have wanted Reigns as champion all year... So of course he would win it now that he's feuding with Rollins."

Now yeah I would assume Reigns is going to win the title before to long. But you never know now. Hell for all we know the real original plan was Sheamus cashing in and holding the belt until Mania.
