POP TV President Brad Schwartz and TNA President Dixie Carter revealed in an interview with PWInsider.com this week that the new Impact Wrestling deal is indeed a multi-year deal between both parties and that a move to Tuesday night was made to position the show to obtain a stronger weekly television audience.
Carter emailed TNA staff and talent this week using the "multi-year" term about the new television agreement with POP TV. Talent were not made aware ahead of time before the Thursday announcement about the POP TV television deal.
While the only confirmed dates on TNA's schedule is for the upcoming UK tour (which will feature television tapings for Impact Wrestling), the company has yet to share plans of where they will hold tapings for the live 1/5 debut on POP TV.
Video of Josh Mathews talking with Dixie Carter about the new TV deal was posted today.
Opinionated View- I know haters "They said DA was a multi year deal." But I don't recall the president of DA appearing with Dixie in interviews on wrestling sites. I really do think this will be some good moves for TNA.
