John Cena may not be back in for SummerSlam following getting surgery on the broken nose he suffered on Monday. The site says that sources close to the situation say that SumerSlam would be the earliest he can return to the ring and that he wouldn’t be fully healed if he is back by then.
The site adds that there is some debate over whether to book him on the show or let him heal up, “especially considering SummerSlam is already going to be a major draw with The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar.”

7/29 Lucha Underground Report
Show opens with video looking at the rivalries between The Mack and Cage, Drago and Hernandez and the Disciples of Death and The Underdogs. They all do battle in Part 1 of Ultima Lucha tonight.
We go to where Dario Cueto is keeping both his brother, Mantaza and Black Lotus in separate cells. Cueto is dressed to the nines in a tux and a glass of champagne. Cueto walks in as Black Lotus is doing pull-ups.
Cueto says that tonight's the night, Ultima Lucha is finally here. Cueto offers Lotus champagne, but she flips him off and kicks the swinging light in the cell, keeping it steady. Cueto says that he hopes that spending all this time, so close to my brother, may have given you a change of heart. You still believe he is responsible, don't you? A pitbull, by nature, is not a dangerous animal. How do they get that reputation? Because people hate pitbulls so badly, that they have no choice but to fight back and let out the beast. That's what happened to my brother, my father made a lot of money in underground fights, exploiting his little pitbull as "The Monster" Mantaza Cueto. I will admit, he hurt a lot of people, but not your parents, that was a lie fabricated by the real man who killed them, El Dragon Azteca. Your father was the leader of the Black Lotus tribe in Hong Kong, they were at war with El Dragon Azteca and his crew of mercernaies. He killed your parents and blamed my brothers so that he could survive and get the last laugh by having their surviving daughter as his little apprentice. Mantaza may be a pitbull, but El Dragon Azteca is a snake. I have a show to run, so I have to go, I know the truth hurts, but it also may set you free.
Cueto walks off as Lotus does karate shots to a chalk outline against the wall as we hear Cueto's words replay over and over in Lotus' head. It seems that Lotus has broken through the wall as we leave the room.
We go inside the Temple has ring announcer Melissa Santos welcomes us to Ultima Lucha. Commentary welcomes us to the show and we go right to the opening match.
Falls Count Anywhere: The Mack vs. "They Call Him" Cage
Cage attacks Mack from behind on the top of the Temple steps and they start brawling right away. Mack sent off the wall, but he fights back. Cage sends Mack over the balcony and slams him on top of Dario Cueto's office! They go to the bleachers in the crowd, Mack drives Cage into the wall. EXPLODER ONTO THE BLEACHERS!!! Mack only gets 2. Cage comes back with chairshots to the back and ribs, but then Mack SPEARS CAGE THROUGH THE STORAGE ROOM DOOR!! Cage has a fire extingusher and blows in Mack's face! Cage then grabs a stop sign and DRILLS MACK ACROSS THE HEAD WITH IT, SPIKE DDT ON THE STOP SIGN!!! Cage only gets 2. Mack has a wooden plank and BREAKS IT OVER CAGE'S BACK!! Mack then grabs a cooler and hits Cage in the head, spilling the contents, which was a bunch of Miller Lite beers. Mack grabs 2, takes a swig, spits the beer at Cage, STUNNER!!! 1-2...CAGE KICKS OUT!! Mack has a beer bottle and BREAKS IT OVER CAGE'S HEAD, BUT IT HAS NO EFFECT ON HIM!!! Cage with a clothesline, Mack sent into the ringpost. Cage sets up a table and brings Mack up top with him, but Mack with an enziguri. Mack goes underneath Cage on the apron, SIT-OUT POWERBOMB OFF THE APRON THROUGH THE TABLE!!! 1-2....CAGE KICKS OUT AGAIN!!! Mack has a crutch, nails Cage in the ribs with it. They go up the bleacher steps, Mack hits Cage with a trash can lid, sending him back on top of Dario Cueto's office. Mack has a trash can, SPINEBUSTER ON THE CAN, CAGE KICKS OUT AGAIN!! Cage slips out of a powerslam, DISCUS CLOTHESLINE SENDS MACK OVER THE RAILING!! Cage stands on top of the railing and deadlifts Mack, F*ING MACHINE SUPERPLEX, MACK KICKS OUT AGAIN!! We see cinder blocks on the top of Cueto's office, Cage sets them up. CURB STOMP PUTS MACK'S HEAD THROUGH THE CINDER BLOCKS!!!!
1-2-3! HOLY SMOKES!!
Winner: "They Call Him" Cage by pinfall (Curb Stomp through cinder blocks)
Cage celebrates his win afterward as we go to commercial.

Katrina gets in the ring with the Rock of Death and lifts it up to re-summon the Disciples of Death back to their feet. Ivelisse comes in with her crutches, staring down Katrina. Ivelisse throws the crutches down, but Katrina goozles her. Ivelisse takes Katrina down and begins UNLOADING WITH SHOTS TO HER!! Katrina regains the advantage, grabs the Rock of Death and NAILS IVELISSE WITH IT!!
Gold gets back in, while Purple & Silver hold back Havoc & Angelico and pins Ivelisse to win the titles.
Winners and NEW Lucha Underground Trios Champions: The Disciples of Death by pinfall
Katrina gives Ivelisse the Lick of Death afterwards, then celebrates the Disciples of Death's title win as we go to commercial.

Main Event in a Believers Backlash Match (Lumberjack Match with fans surrounding ringside brandishing leather straps): "Super-Mex" Hernandez vs. "The Dragon" Drago
Hernandez yells at the believers around ringside before the bell as we see he has some read war paint on his chest. Drago makes his entrance with the Dragon wings. Hernandez attacks Drago from behind as the bell sounds. Drago avoids a corner charge, but Hernandez crotches him on the ropes, missile dropkick sends Drago outside. The believers do not hit Drago with the straps and help him off, making Hernandez irate. Hernandez goes outside, but it allows the believers to begin WAILING AWAY at Hernandez with the leather straps, sending him up the Temple steps and wanting a timeout. Back in, Hernandez misses a clothesline, but hits a front kick. Drago avoids another charge, twisting corkscrew press off the top. Series of leg kicks, followed by a basement head kick and a jawbreaker. Cactus Clothesline sends them both outside, where again, Hernandez receives all the punishment by the believers with the straps. Hernandez snatches a strap from one of the believers, sending that guy scurrying. Hernandez gets back in and hits the slingshot shoulder tackle. Hernandez catches Drago off the middle rope, Super-Mex Bomb! Hernandez taunts the crowd, not going for the pin. Hernandez heads up top for the Super-Mex Splash, but Drago gets the knees up! Tornado DDT by Drago, followed by a leg sweep. Hernandez blocks a Sunset Flip, but Drago with another enziguri. Hernandez blocks an Exploder, but Drago counters the Border Toss. Hernandez again taunts the crowd, then gets a head of steam and goes for the Air Super-Mex dive, but Drago HITS HIM IN MID-AIR WITH THE GREEN MIST!!! Believers with more strap shots to Hernandez as Drago sets up a table outside. Hernandez hides underneath the ring, but when he comes back out, the believers are right there with more strap shots. Hernandez backs up, but doesn't see Drago brandishing a set of nunchuks. Drago practices his katas, as Hernandez tries to fend off the believers. Hernandez turns around and Drago DRILLS HIM MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE HEAD WITH THE NUNCHUKS!! Drago places Hernandez on the table, heads up top, TOP ROPE SPLASH THROUGH THE TABLE OUTSIDE!!!
Back in, Drago heads up with Hernandez laying right on the Aztec emblem in the middle of the ring, another top rope splash! 1-2-3!
Winner: "The Dragon" Drago by pinfall (Top Rope Splash)
Drago celebrates his win afterward.
We run down the card one more time for Part 2 of Ultima Lucha next week.

The hooded masked man says to El Dragon Azteca that he knows what the prophecy says, you cannot enter the Temple.
El Dragon Azteca yells to let him in, Black Lotus is a prisoner because I failed her.

During the quarter, Network segment revenue increased 57% on a pro-forma basis (excluding the timing impact of WrestleMania in the second quarter 2014)1. Supporting the growth in revenue, WWE Network had 1,156,000 paid subscribers at quarter end, and averaged approximately 1,216,000 paid subscribers during the quarter, representing an 83% increase from the prior year quarter and a 31% increase from the first quarter 2015 average.2 During the quarter, the Company premiered more than 75 hours of original content on WWE Network, increased the network’s comprehensive video-on-demand library to more than 3,300 hours, and continued to broaden its global distribution. Additionally, Beast in the East, a live event special produced in Japan on July 4th, has become the network’s most watched program to date (excluding pay-per-views).

WWE Network Update: Future Plans
To grow WWE Network, the Company is executing a five-part strategy, including creating new content, implementing high impact customer acquisition and retention programs, introducing new features, expanding distribution platforms, and entering new geographies. Over the remainder of 2015, the Company is focused on expanding the network’s line-up of compelling original content as a critical element of this strategy.
Programming: For the remainder of 2015, the Company expects to add approximately 180 hours of original content to the network’s featured programming. Exciting original programming coming to the network includes a reality series following the stars of NXT as they strive to make WWE’s main roster, a new series Table for 3 that gives viewers a seat at the table with our Superstars and Divas, a studio show highlighting current events in the world of WWE and beyond, and new episodes of WWE 24, The WWE List, and Stone Cold Podcast, as well as teasers of Camp WWE, an animated adult series premiering in 2016. In addition, the Company plans to expand WWE Network’s robust video-on-demand library, which currently has more than 3,300 hours of content. Themed programming collections to be added to this library include The Raw Attitude Era Part 2: Austin/McMahon, WCW Nitro: Accelerating the War, and The 20th Anniversary of Monday Nitro.
Acquisition & Retention: Based on the successful execution of the network’s free trial promotions, a rolling one-month free trial program was initiated in July and marks the fourth consecutive month and the fifth month this year that the Company has implemented a free trial offering. During the second quarter, the Company enhanced the network’s “watch list” technology, providing the ability to add new programs to subscribers’ watch lists from email notifications. The Company plans to continue utilizing this capability in its subscriber communications. The Company also plans to leverage its sizeable social media and digital assets, such as video sampling on Facebook and WWE.com, to target and acquire new subscribers. To facilitate network subscriptions, the Company plans to introduce a three-month subscription card at retail, enabling a “no credit card required” payment option.
Features/Distribution: Other important elements of the Company’s network strategy include improving the user experience and content discovery across devices and continuing to expand distribution platforms. Over the coming months, the Company will continue to improve the user experience by enhancing the network’s search functionality, adding the ability to organize content as themed “collections” and allowing non-subscribers the ability to explore the breadth and depth of programs available on the service.
Geographies: The Company continues to develop plans for geographic expansion to India, China, Germany, Japan, and Thailand.

Our success in developing WWE Network, maximizing our television rights fees and driving revenue growth from our global markets reinforces our long-term potential.”

WWE sent out the following:
WWE Network Update: Second Quarter Highlights
Network segment revenue reached a record of $131.0 million on a trailing 12-month basis that exceeded the Company’s annual pay-per-view revenue in every calendar year through 2014. From inception through June 30, 2015, WWE Network attracted more than 2.0 million unique subscribers with approximately 61% of these subscribers active as of that date.
* WWE Network’s compelling live and original content, including the Company’s pay-per-views, original series, NXT Live, and other specials continued to drive viewer engagement. Among the more than 75 hours of content that debuted during the quarter, original series, WWE Too Hot for TV (produced with legendary talk show host Jerry Springer), Swerved (produced with Jeff Tremaine, Director of Jackass and Bad Grandpa), and Stone Cold Podcast were among the network’s top programs. Additionally, Beast in the East, a live event special produced in Japan on July 4th, has become the network’s most watched program to date (excluding pay-per-views).
* The Company continued to broaden the global distribution of WWE Network, which was made available in Italy and Malaysia in July, 2015. At quarter-end, WWE Network had approximately 217,000 international subscribers2.
* During the quarter, 90% of subscribers accessed WWE Network at least once per month. Consumer research indicates that 91% of subscribers are satisfied with WWE Network.

Layla Retires From WWE
Layla El announced her retirement from WWE on Wednesday. "I've been traveling the world for nine years now and sometimes it's just time to start the next chapter of your life," she told WWE.com. "Traveling on the road was fun, but the older you get, it takes more time for recovery. I just got tired of the travel part."
Layla was also asked what's next for her. "To be perfectly honest, the first two weeks, I'm doing absolutely nothing. [laughs] No, I have stuff that I would like to do. I would maybe like to do some TV stuff, whether it's in the States or in the U.K. I've talked a little bit about maybe going back into my dance background. I'm going to start choreographing and might even go back to the Heat to start choreographing with them. And then, of course, I'm engaged now to my fiancé Richard. We're going to get married and then later on, in a few years, I want to have some kids and start my family life."
Opinionated View- Not a big loss. Nothing personal against Layla but she was awful in the ring and never got any better. Wrestling is better off with out Layla around

* The Kingdom (Taven and Bennett) w/Maria vs. Corey Hollis and Jonathan Gresham
* Caprice Coleman vs. Silas Young vs. Moose w/Stokely Hathaway vs. Dalton Castle vs. Cheeseburger vs. Bob Evans
* ACH vs. Bobby Fish
Opinionated View- Bad card I don't care about seeing the Kingdom in a squash or having to hear about how smart Maria is. Coleman bores me to tears, Young is wasted feuding with Castle, Moose sucks, Castle is a poor work with a dumb gimmick. And who the hell cares about the Burger and Evans feud? I'm sorry Bobby Fish but even you are your best is not enough to make me want to see ACH.

Sting May Not Appear at SummerSlam After All
– Despite reports to the contrary, Sting may not be appearing at SummerSlam. PWInsider reports that despite the rumors since just before Battleground that Sting will be appearing at the PPV, as of late this afternoon there were no plans to include him on the show.
Reports had suggested that Sting could team up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose against the Wyatt Family, or that he may team with Stephen Amell against Stardust and Miz. Sting is set for the VIP Summerslam Experience in New York City, as has been confirmed by the company.
Opinionated View- Good. Look I'm a Sting fan but we already got Taker and as much as I love Sting he's washed up.

Details on Roderick Strong's contract, including status for PWG and others
Prowrestling.net has learned that the contract recently agreed upon between Ring of Honor and Roderick Strong does not contain the same exclusivity clause that many other ROH talent contracts include. This means that he will be able to continue working for outside companies including Pro Wrestling Guerilla, where Strong is the current PWG Champion. The contract does, however, prevent him from working with GFW and TNA as all ROH talent contracts do.
