While Dixie Carter has reportedly told people to expect a “major announcement” in the near future, that announcement may not be the long-rumored new TV deal. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that people within TNA are claiming that the company is in talks with talent that will “shock people.”
The report says that no one seems to know who they will be (thus, of course, making the rumor a bit spurious) but that it is definitely not Mick Foley and CM Punk. The talent will apparently be someone that should help bring a buzz to the company.
Opinionated View- Anytime you see Davey boy's site you have to be careful. Of course this contradicts the "TNA is freezing all talent talk until after a TV deal." The first name would be Del Rio but given there have been Del Rio to TNA rumors I don't know how shocking it would be. Of course it was pointed out it doesn't say wrestlers instead its talent. It could be someone major from another country
