WWE issued the following statement on Thursday evening:
"WWE announced the release of Alberto Del Rio due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee."
Alberto Del Rio (Alberto Rodriguez) was signed by WWE in 2010 and first worked under a mask in FCW before later becoming known as Alberto Banderas. He officially debuted in 2010 on Smackdown as the artistocratic Alberto Del Rio character, going on to win the WWE Championship and WWE World Heavyweight Championship two times each.
Opinionated View- Well this is shocking. Yeah Del Rio's pushed has fallen off but he was still on TV every week. I would have to think what ever the altercation was its had to be pretty serious.
