Spoiler For Monday’s WWE Raw

While he has yet to be advertised, PWInsider has confirmed that Paul Heyman will be appearing on tomorrow’s episode of Raw alongside Brock Lesnar. Heyman is set for TV and will be with Lesnar for the show. He was spotted today at a New York City airport.

Heyman was not listed alongside Lesnar during the WWE Draft, and with his lack of being advertised for Lesnar’s return on Raw his association with the Beast was up in the air until now. Raw takes place in Atlanta, Georgia and airs live on USA Network.

Opinoinated View- WWE should just save the money. Take Old Heyman clips and edit them together. I mean he cuts the exact same promo saying the exact same things. IN the exact same order.

Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship officially announced for SummerSlam PPV

WWE officially announced on Saturday morning that Sasha Banks will be defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte at SummerSlam on August 21 in Brooklyn.

Here is the updated card for WWE SummerSlam as of this weekend.
Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
Match to crown the first ever WWE Universal Champion
Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor
WWE Women’s Championship Match
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte

Opinoinated View- Haven't we seen these two try and wrestle each other and fail enough already? Hell after the last PPV and the match on Monday I think we should file a class action suit against them both for the damage they have done to our eyes. So far SummerSlam is a very mixed bag. Rollins vs. Balor if they are given time and it's not just a "Here Finn hold this place for a few weeks," thing could be amazing. If Ziggler brings his working boots for the first time in years good chance he and Ambrose do well.

Main event is going to suck as Lesnar only doe Suplexs and Orton just hast the same match over and over and over again. Than the Women's title match will suck big time.

Report Says Charlotte Did Not Ask For Time Off

PWInsider is refuting reports that Charlotte is taking time off in the near future, saying that according to sources Charlotte is scheduled for all her bookings in the near future and that there have been no request made to take time off.

The site says that the title switch was made in order to open the “New Era” of Raw with a big surprise and that with Charlotte’s run establishing the title as legitimate, the company is more open to the possibility of moving the title to push storyliness. Triple H is a big fan of Sasha and since the two were already planning to battle at SummerSlam, the title switch adds heat to the match.

Alberto Del Rio’s Contract Has Potential Out Coming Up

Alberto Del Rio has a clause in his contract that gives him a possible out in September. The site reports that TNA has shown interest in Del Rio but that he doesn’t seem likely to go there since he put down TNA during his PR tour of India for WWE.

Del Rio is making a lot of money with WWE, though it was noted he could also “make big money” working for Lucha Underground and Mexico. It would not be the same level as with WWE though.

According to some reports Del Rio who is dating Paige was unhappy about them being split during the recent draft.

Opinoinated View- Good I hope does to Mexico and LU. I barley watch LU and with how far a head they are taping odds are his shows in a return wouldn't air for about a year. I don't watch Mexican wrestling anymore. But man this guy is a moron. Remember there was the whole incident that ended his first WWE run. And yeah I get why he was mad doesn't' mean he was completely right in his actions. He got this super special deal where he could work AAA, LU, and ROH yet he wasn't happy there.

So he's back in WWE and now he's unhappy in there. I'm glade he didn't go to TNA. Keep his shit boring matches on shit bad shows.

He calls Storm a drunk and Storm says that if he was sober Drake wouldn’t like him because he would be whooping his ass. Drake says that Storm doesn’t deserve another shot and then Storm cracks a joke about Drake’s mom getting railed by Storm’s dad. Drake gets pissed and says that if he wants a shot at the title then he wants to never see Storm driving his stupid cooler to the ring or hear his stupid music again. He says that he doesn’t get Storm’s music but maybe because he’s never wanted to make love to his sister. Drake says that if he agrees to never getting another shot at the title if he loses then he will give him one last shot. They both agree and Drake tries to hit Storm with the title, but Storm ducks and then grabs the title. Drake low blows Storm and hits Blunt Force Trauma!

WWE Gets Partial Win in Brain Injury Countersuit Motion

– WWE scored a partial victory in their countersuit involving the brain injury lawsuit brought against them by Evan Singleton, Vito LoGrasso and others. The company filed a motion of reconsideration regarding the countersuit, in which WWE filed a pre-emptive suit asking the court to time bar potential claims by Blackjack Mulligan, Dynamite Kid, Koko B. Ware and Ivan Koloff — along with several “John Does” — after their lawyer, Konstantine Kyros, sent letters to the company notifying of intent to sue. WWE had argued that Kyros was improperly soliciting former wrestlers to sue the company and that the cases should be brought into Connecticut where they are barred by the statute of limitations. Kyros is now representing fifty-three former wrestlers in a similar lawsuit.

The court’s opinion agreed with WWE and not the argument from the talent involved, who argued that merely threatening a lawsuit left open the possibility that would not sue, and thus “did not institute litigation, nor . . . provide

sufficient immediacy and reality to warrant the issuance of a declaratory judgment.”
WWE had also asked for expedited discovery to determine who else Kyros had lined up to sue — the “John Does” — but that motion was denied.

Did Charlotte Ask For Time Off?

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Charlotte’s dropping the WWE Women’s Title to Sasha Banks may be in order to give the now-former champion some time off in the near future. Both hosts of the show said that they have heard Charlotte asked for some time off, although they haven’t yet confirmed the news. Charlotte lost the championship to Banks on Raw.

It is worth noting, however, that Ric Flair noted on his podcast that a rematch between the two is on the horizon for SummerSlam. Charlotte could still take time off after that, but it does seem as if she will be sticking around at least until the August PPV.

WWE Not Signing Anyone Under 21

– The company now has a new internal rule, where they are not signing any one under 21. In the past they have signed talent under 21, but held them off the main roster until the age of 21, but that has now changed. 19-year-old Demi Bennett of Australia was recently contacted for a tryout, but when the company discovered her age, officials pulled her from the camp and told her that they were not allowing anyone under 21 to try out. She was told she’d be given a tryout when she turns 21.

Three NXT Releases

According to prowrestlingsheet.com, WWE has reportedly released former Tough Enough competitor ZZ Loupe. The site says that he was released from his contract this morning.
ZZ was fan favorite when it came to the voting during the show, which kept him on the show until the finals, where he lost to Josh Bredl. At this time, there is no word on why he was released.

According to pwinsider.com, WWE has released NXT talents Josh Woods and Tom Kingdon. Woods was a former national wrestling champion and 4-time All American who worked some NXT TV, but was used as an enhancement talent in his appearances. Kingdon was a high school football stand out and champion body builder who appeared on some NXT live events.
They also have confirmed the earlier report that ZZ Loupe was released.

Opinionated View- I never watched Tough Enough but from what I hear ZZ was not that good. As for the other two can't recall ever seeing them. That said I do have to ask were the cut "To make Room." Like were they cut because the NXT roster was to big and WWE wants some new talent to come in. Because if that's the case it show why it was stupid to re-sign guys like Ryhno and Shelton when you could just call up Roode, Aries, EY, Joe and a few other to the main roster. That way NXT has more sports open.

7.27 WWE NXT Report

Results courtesy of WWE.com:
NXT results: Did furious Samoa Joe accept TakeOver match with Nakamura?
NXT Champion Samoa Joe was fuming that he was not consulted before NXT General Manager William Regal awarded Shinsuke Nakamura a title match at TakeOver: Brooklyn and refused to accept the match. How did he react when Regal gave him an ultimatum to either take the match or forfeit the title?
Shinsuke Nakamura def. Wesley Blake
Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy’s differences continued to reveal themselves in a backstage dispute as both seemed determined to make a statement in singles action. Unfortunately for Blake, he would encounter a red-hot Shinsuke Nakamura on the heels of, arguably, his biggest victory to date in NXT against Finn Bálor. The King of Strong Style was on top of his game and oozing his trademark charisma, catching kisses and delivering his Kinshasa knee strike to the former NXT Tag Team Champion for the win.
After the contest, General Manager William Regal announced that Nakamura will challenge NXT Champion Samoa Joe in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn on Saturday, Aug. 20.
Billie Kay def. Santana Garrett
Billie Kay continues to impress, showing off her athleticism in a commanding victory over Santana Garrett. The Australian-born Superstar displayed a much more aggressive in-ring attitude, delivering a hard-hitting attack on her opponent. In the end, the former basketball player nailed a vicious looking big boot to pick up the decisive win.
Bayley asks for a rematch against NXT Women’s Champion Asuka
Last week, Bayley gained redemption against Nia Jax, defeating the towering competitor in a brutal battle. With Jax now out of the way, Bayley has set her sights on regaining the NXT Women’s Championship from Asuka. The huggable Superstar made her case to General Manager William Regal for a rematch against the dangerous titleholder at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn.
Regal agreed with the idea, but did say he first needs to talk with the champion before drawing up the contract. So, will Asuka accept this proposed blockbuster rematch?
TM-61 def. Rob Kimball & Adrian Nails
With NXT’s tag team division wide open, TM-61 continue to make a name for themselves at the right time. The duo of Nick Miller & Shane Thorne soundly defeated Rob Kimball & Adrian Nails thanks to an emphatic Thunder Valley for the pinfall victory.
No Way Jose def. Steve Cutler
No Way Jose showed a much more intense side last week when he ditched his smile to go on the attack and send Austin Aries running for the hills.
In his bout against Steve Cutler, the lively Superstar showed both sides to his personality, beginning the match in his usual fun-loving mood before letting loose his intense, wide-eyed rage that NXT fans witnessed a week ago. The flashy Superstar made quick work of Cutler before sending a message to “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived”: No Way Jose is coming for you.
Kota Ibushi def. Buddy Murphy
Buddy Murphy was out to prove to his on-again, off-again tag team partner Wesley Blake and the rest of the NXT Universe that he can hold his own as a singles competitor, and he didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, despite Murphy’s impressive showing, it was Kota Ibushi’s time to shine.
The Cruiserweight Classic competitor —who is on his way to the second round of the groundbreaking tournament — flashed some serious skills in his NXT debut. After trading a series of vicious kicks with the Australian Superstar, “Golden Star” nailed a sit-out powerbomb for the win.
Joe reluctantly accepts match against Nakamura at NXT TakeOver
Upon hearing that General Manager William Regal had scheduled him to defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, NXT Champion Samoa Joe made a bee line to the ring to address this sign of “disrespect.”
The defiant titleholder declared that The King of Strong Style was not a deserving challenger and that he would not be putting his title on the line against the charismatic competitor at the highly anticipated NXT TakeOver event in Brooklyn. Regal arrived and responded by letting Joe know that he would forfeit his title if he did not fight Nakamura on Saturday, Aug. 20. As a result, Joe angrily accepted the bout, but also warned that the Japanese Superstar may not make it to the summer showdown. In response, Nakamura showed Joe that he was not afraid of the ferocious champion, setting his sights on NXT’s top Superstar with a simple, yet poignant smile from the ramp.

7/27 WWE CWC Results

CWC First Round
“Textbook” Tyson Dux vs. “The Technical Wizard” Zack Sabre Jr.
Dux was trained by Terry Taylor and Scott D’Amore and actually previously worked for WWE for a few years about a decade ago as a jobber before tearing his ACL. Since then he worked for TNA and ROH some and all over America and Canada on the Indies. Sabre has been one of the top technical wrestlers in the world for the past several years putting on some true classics on the Indies in the past couple of years. He also spent several years working for Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, where he actually faced Daniel Bryan a few times (he also faced him in Europe). Sabre immediately goes to the mat with an armlock and then a modified heel hook. Dux counters with a single leg takedown and then puts Sabre in his own modified heel hook. Sabre rolls over and lifts himself up into a headlock on Dux. He takes Dux over but Dux comes right back with a headscissors. Sabre bridges up and out of the hold and then ties Dux up in more submissions and holds. Sabre puts Dux in a Cravate and everytime Dux attempts to escape Sabre counters him right back into the Cravate until Dux finally manages to take Sabre over with a Snapmare Takeover. Dux puts Sabre in his own Cravate but Sabre actually bridges out of it and into a wristlock. Sabre puts Dux in a hammerlock and takes him down to the mat and uses his leg to keep the hammerlock on before twisting the arm of Dux. Sabre puts Dux in a Jim Breaks Special but Dux fights out and scoop slams Sabre. Dux hits a series of chops and then whips him into the corner. Sabre elbows a charging Dux and then connects with a Diving European Uppercut from the middle rope. Sabre follows up with a Running European Uppercut in the corner and then a Pele kick to the outstretched arm of Dux. Sabre hits a series of roundhouse kicks to that arm but Dux catches a third attempt and connects with a Brainbuster for a nearfall. Dux puts Sabre in a Fujiwara Armbar and Sabre rolls through it to try and get away but Dux holds onto the armbar. Sabre rolls Dux over into a nearfall but Dux comes right back with a Sliding Elbow for another nearfall. Dux hits a series of forearms and then hits the ropes but Sabre ducks under him and locks Dux in an Octopus. Dux reaches the ropes but then Sabre kicks the arm again. Sabre attempts a Roundhouse Kick but Dux moves and Sabre comes right back with a Spinning Leg Sweep followed by a Shining Wizard! 1…2…NO Dux kicks out! Dux falls to the mat and Sabre transitions right into an Omoplata! Dux almost gets to the ropes with one of arms but Dux grabs it and starts twisting on the fingers of Dux forcing him to verbally submit.
Winner: Sabre via submission (Omoplata)

“The Trailblazer” Drew Gulak vs. “The Bollywood Boy” Harv Sihra
Gulak was trained by CHIKARA in America with training from Mike Quackenbush, Chris Hero and the legenary Jorge “Skadye” Rivera. He has worked all over America but his home promotion for the longest was EVOLVE before signing a developmental deal with WWE. Sihra is a Canadian that worked for TNA’s Indian side project Ring Ka King along with Jeff Jarrett’s GFW last year. He and his brother, Gurv Sihra who will also be in this tournament, are a tag team called the Bollywood Boyz. Gulak immediately starts mat wrestling Sihra with an inside cradle for an early nearfall. Sihra Monkey Flips Gulak but Gulak rolls him into a body scissors. Sihra counters the hold and Gulak immediately gets to the ropes. They shake hands and then Gulak takes Sihra over with a Side Headlock Takeover. Sihra gets back to his feet but gets run over by a shoulder block from Gulak. Sihra speeds things up but Gulak catches him on a Cross Body Block attempt. Gulak attempts a Fireman’s Carry but Sihra rolls him up for a nearfall followed by a Crucifix Rollup for another nearfall. “The Premiere Athlete” Tony Nese vs. Anthony Bennett
Nese was trained by Mikey Whipwreck and spent the majority of 2011 and 2012 in TNA as a part of the X-Division. He’s been working a lot for EVOLVE as well. I don’t know much about Anthony Bennett at all other than he has a goofy 80’s style Kid-N-Play haircut and does some even goofier dancing. He even has an extra pair of sunglasses on his hair. Nese takes Bennett down with a Waistlock but Bennett counters into a hammerlock. Nese reverses him into a Side Headlock only for Bennett to counter right back into the hammerlock. Nese shoves Bennett away and then leapfrogs a charging Bennett. Nese matrixes out of a clothesline attempt and then hits a gorgeous series of strikes with knees and kicks. Back in the ring Bennett attempts a Butterfly Suplex but Nese blocks it and then Flapjacks him onto the top rope. Nese follows up with a beautiful Springboard Asai Moonsault for a nearfall. Nese goes for a Vertical Suplex but Bennett counters with a series of knees, Nese Suplexes him anyway for a nearfall. Nese puts Bennett in a Bodyscissors. Bennett fights out of the hold and catches Nese with an armdrag. Bennett hits a series of forearms and then a series of Flying Clotheslines. Bennett hits the ropes and connects with a Pop-Up Dropkick. Bennett goes for a Tornado DDT but Nese blocks it and lifts Bennett back up to the top. Bennett blocks a roundhouse kick from Nese and hits a Diving Tornado DDT for a nearfall. The two exchange some stiff forearms and then Nese attempts to duck through the legs of Bennett but Bennett falls botching the spot. Eventually Nese gets back to the spot and slides through Bennett’s legs into a Pump Handle Slam. Nese goes to the top but then the referee stops him and checks on Bennett in a horrendous spot. The referee tells Nese to go ahead and he hits the 450 Splash for the pin.
Winner: Nese via pinfall (450 Splash)

Daniel Bryan suggests Bennett may have separated his shoulder as a trainer looks at Bennett’s arm.

Kendrick manages to get to the ropes and then he kicks Mendoza in the face as the referee separated them. Kendrick rakes Mendoza’s face on the middle rope and then forces Mendoza’s mouth around the ropes and kicks the ropes. What Were The Original Plans For Summerslam?

The Wrestling Observer‘s Dave Meltzer said that the original plan for Summerslam was Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins for the new WWE Universal Championship. The plan was always to create a new world title but Reigns’ 30 day suspension for violating the Wellness Policy removed him from the match. Now Finn Balor will face Seth Rollins for the belt.

Opinionated View- Well Dave loves the well duh reporting. I just hope is actually going to push Balor and try and truly make him a main eventer. I don't just want him to fill in until Vince take's Roman out of timeout.

Jay Lethal vs. Adam Cole Official For ROH Death Before Dishonor

ROH announced today that Jay Lethal will defend the ROH Title against Adam Cole at the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV. The show takes pace August 19th with the following card…
* ROH World Title Match: Champion Jay Lethal vs. Adam Cole
* ROH TV Title Match: Champion Bobby Fish vs. Mark Briscoe
* Non-Title Match: IWGP Never Openweight Champion Katsuyori Shibata vs. Silas Young
* CHAOS (Romero, Barreta and Yano) vs. Bullet Club (Takahashi, Tonga, Loa)

Opinionated View- Could have been a good match but ROH really blew the follow up by waiting so long. Remember they had Cole join the Bullet Club ruin a PPV main event. But instead of setting up Cole vs. Lethal or even doing something like Lethal and Cabana and a Partner vs. The Club it was Lethal vs. fucking Jay Briscoe at the next PPV.

There Are Plans For Season Four Of Lucha Underground

PWInsider reports that there are plans for a fourth season of Lucha Underground. The hope is to film either in the late fall or early winter as soon as detail are mapped out. A source claims that it could film in November but nothing is confirmed.

A third season has already been filmed and completed, which debuts later this year on The El Rey Network. That will move the show up to 100 episodes, which is the amount that syndicators look for when trying to license shows internationally.

Lucha Underground will be included as part of an El Rey presentation of new fall shows at the Paley Center for Media in New York City on September 10 at 5:10 PM, along with a screening of From Dusk TIll Dawn. This could be the first episode of the third season and the first time the episode is shown anywhere. You can find details here.

Opinionated View- Sadly by all indications LU will keep up its shit overly done backstage promos. Its attempts to make everyone into a led character in a Martial Arts film. Pushing Bland Star. Also IWC I don't want to hear you bash TNA when LU has like 30 shows filmed and will start filming more soon.
