WWE NXT TV Tapings for July 13, 2016:
* Dark Match: Oney Lorcan def. Tino Sabbatelli
Episode 1
* Shinsuke Nakamura def. Blake. NXT GM William Regal comes out after and announces Nakamura vs. Samoa Joe for the NXT Title as the main event of TakeOver: Brooklyn II.
* Billie Kay def. Santana Garrett
* TM-61 won a squash match.
* No Way Jose def. Steve Cutler. Jose cut a promo on Austin Aries after.
* Kota Ibushi def. Murphy
* NXT Champion Samoa Joe in-ring promo ripping on Regal for making the match with Nakamura and refuses it, saying Nakamura is undeserving. Regal comes out and says if Joe doesn’t agree, he’ll consider it a forfeit and Joe will be stripped of the NXT Title. Joe says he will take out Nakamura before TakeOver. Nakamura comes out on the rampway and stares down Joe to close the first show.
Episode 2
* Hideo Itami def. Sean Maluta
* Backstage segment with NXT Women’s Champion Asuka and Bayley, with Bayley saying she is ready to face Asuka again.
* NXT Women’s Champion Asuka def. Aliyah. Bayley came out to do commentary. Asuka set up a chair at ringside for Bayley to watch the match on her entrance, but then Bayley comes down, throws the chair down and decides to stand and watch. Bayley comes in after when Asuka doesn’t let go of the Asuka Lock and the two have a staredown.
* Bobby Roode makes his NXT TV debut, cutting a promo saying he will make NXT glorious.
* NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival def. TM-61. Afterwards, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa come out and the two teams go back and forth on the mic before brawling, with Gargano and Ciampa sending the Revival fleeing from the ring.
* Mojo Rawley vs. Chris Atkins goes to a No Contest when NXT Champion Samoa Joe attacks both men. Joe cuts a promo ripping on Nakamura and Regal, when Mojo gets back up and brawls with Joe, but then Joe chokes him out with the Coquina Clutch.
Episode 3
* Contract signing for Asuka vs. Bayley for the NXT Women’s Title at TakeOver: Brooklyn II. Bayley says she is ready now for Asuka and the Asuka mystique is gone. Asuka wants to shake hands, but Bayley refuses and demands Asuka sign the contract. She does, then Bayley leaves, brushing past Asuka, then she comes back and the two have a staredown.
* The Authors of Pain won a squash match. TM-61 comes out after, but gets beat down by The Authors of Pain until American Alpha makes the save.
* Andrade Cien Almas def. Angelo Dawkins. Afterwards, Bobby Roode comes out and announces that he will face Almas at TakeOver: Brooklyn II.
* Billie Kay def. Liv Morgan
* Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa def. Patrick Clark and Tucker Knight
Episode 4
* Hideo Itami def. Mustafa Ali
* Carmella, Liv Morgan and Nikki Glencross (Nikki Storm) def. Alexa Bliss, Mandy Rose and Daria Berenato
* NXT Champion Samoa Joe def. Mojo Rawley. Joe continues the attack after until Shinsuke Nakamura comes out. Security gets inbetween the two as Nakamura taunts Joe. Joe lays out the security team to close the tapings.
