Breaking News: Finn Balor Leaving WWE
In stunning new report Finn Balor will be finishing up with the WWE at tonight TakeOver Dallas event. According to Dave Meltzer Balor met with both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon about his current standing with the company a few weeks ago. During the meeting it was made clear to Balor he would be called up to the main roster at best by the end of the year. While Balor remained professional it was clear he was upset by the news.
According to one source Balor thought the impending debut of Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson and the Balor Club gimmick would led to him being called up to the main roster. However WWE wishes to keep him as the focus of NXT. The same source has said the main issue is due to money. Balor actually makes less working for NXT than he did splitting his time in Japan and various independent companies. Its been said he was willing to take less short term believing it would pay off long run. Balor is basically locked at the same level of pay until he is called up.
Balor asked for his release and while several people including Matt Bloom tried to talk him out of it the WWE eventually agreed. Balor will have a longer than normal no-compete clause which would mainly keep him out of New Japan, TNA, ROH, and Lucha Underground. As for how the affects former Bullet Club it said they will still debut soon just not tied to Balor.
