PWG Battle of LA Night 2 Report

Christian Cole (I think that's his name) is the guest ring announcer for the evening. Excalibur gave his opening speech, including not video recording, shark week, and recycling!
1. "Party" Marty Scurll defeated Rich Swann in a Battle of Los Angeles First Round Match. Marty is risking his life by entering in a fur coat in a 100° room. Marty won the super high energy match with his Crossface Chicken Wing. The Progress Wrestling contingent is really impressing folks this weekend.
2. Jack Evans defeated Angélico in a Battle of Los Angeles First Round Match. Jack Evans began the match with a great promo. Jack's promo continued through the match, where he stole and wrote in Meltzer's notepad, chugged a beer, and went on a drunken wrestling rampage. Evans is a professional. The second half of this match didn't quite build perfectly, but it was fun. Jack Evans won with a Crane Kick.
3. Chris Hero defeated Timothy Thatcher in a Battle of Los Angeles First Round Match. This match was pretty close to their WrestleMania weekend classic I also saw in person. More than moves and craziness, these guys know how to build drama in an amazing way. Chris Hero won this great contest after hitting a CrossRhodes-esque maneuver on Thatcher. Amazing effort all around. You MUST see this match.
4. Aero Star & Fénix defeated Drago & Pentaón Jr. This was an unreal Lucha-style tag. Just stunning. Standing ovations all the way through the match. Wow.
Intermission.
5. Tommy End defeated Drew Gulak in a Battle of Los Angeles First Round Match. This was a good, but odd match. The fans didn't get super into it after intermission and the exhausting tag before it. Once they were hooked, they were hooked. End took a couple rough looking bumps, but ultimately win with a big Elbow/Forearm to Gulak's head.
6. "Speedball" Mike Bailey defeated Drew Galloway in a Battle of Los Angeles First Round Match. This match was all about the physical difference between the short sub-200 lb. Speedball and the very tall and ripped Galloway. They had a truly great match and told a simple story. Speedball won't die. Galloway is crazy gifted and talented. Speedball rolled Drew up after Drew attempted his Double Arm DDT. Damn. That was good.
7. Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Ricochet in a Battle of Los Angeles First Round Match. This wasn't a standard Ricochet match, as Sabre gave Ricochet more of a technical feel. It built slowly, but wonderfully. Finally, Sabre managed to pin Ricochet after a series of excellent reversals. Good stuff.
8. Super Dragon & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) defeated Biff Busick, Andrew Everett, & Trevor Lee in a Six Person Tag Team Guerrilla Warfare Match. Busik was pinned by Nick Jackson and Super Dragon after an insane combination of moves and an insane match. This was insanity and it lived up to the Guerrilla Warfare name. Absolutely nuts.
Excalibur thanked everyone for coming tonight after the main event. He said this is not over. He doesn't care who or what it takes, but this is it. The crowd chanted for one more match for Excalibur. Excalibur said he didn't need one more match. He said they have a whole locker room full of men. He will not rest until he sees Mount Rushmore 2.0 put in the ground.
Excalibur was attacked by The Bucks and Dragon. Chris Hero rushed the ring and ran them off. Hero was eventually attacked after trying to confront the worst fan in wrestling history. Hero and Excalibur were laid out. PWG is a land in need of a savior of some sort.
