Polygon.com reports that PlayStation is launching a new digital entertainment service called PlayStation Vue. The internet TV service will carry various channels including CBS, various FOX networks, NBCUniversal, and Discovery Communications, which owns Destination America (the new home of TNA and Impact Wrestling).
The service will carry various networks under the Discovery Communications banner, including Destination America. Price details are not yet available, but the service will reportedly be offered on a month-to-moth basis with a “fair and competitive price.”
The service is set to launch as an invite-only beta later this month for PS4 and PS3 in New York, then Chicago, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Sony also wants to launch the service for iPad and additional devices. The full service is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2015.
