Hardcore Roadtrip promoter Mark Livingston disappeared from the HRT evening event without paying any of the talent or without making arrangements for talents to be transported from the London, Ontario hotel back to the United States so they could catch their flights back home tomorrow morning at the Buffalo and Detroit airports.
The show ended with a Hardcore match between Jesse Amato and Masada. The locker room came out applauding them and then entered the ring, explaining the situation to the fans and pointing out it was not an angle.
Stephen DeAngelis, the ring announcer, thanked the wrestlers for their hard work and asked that any fans who had passports and could drive wrestlers to the different airports meet them in the lobby of the venue to set up travel arrangements.
The story making the rounds after the fact was that Livingston's wife was said to have taken him to the hospital. His exit was not relayed to anyone working the show. One version told to the locker room after the fact was that one of the HRT staffers was heading to the hospital to pick up everyone's money, but as of this writing, that has not come to pass.
It should be noted that talents who only worked the matinee event earlier today were paid and that hotel rooms for the talent were taken care of by Livingston. HRT had a double header today.
There's no word yet as to what any of this means for the scheduled iPPV tomorrow but both shows were filmed and the evening show was described as a very good to great event.
