We reported last month that there were talks of Kurt Angle getting a retirement match at Wrestlemania 35, which would mark the end of his in-ring career. However, as the event draws closer that no longer seems to be the case. The Twitter account for Rajah noted that a source stated that Angle will not get a match on the Wrestlemania card and is set to retire immediately. They wrote:
Hearing that a Kurt Angle "retirement" is not only a foregone conclusion at this point, but probably imminent. Sadly, it doesn't sound like he'll get a dream retirement match or anything. Working on getting more info.
Angle made his return to WWE back in 2017 and has wrestled sporadically since then. His in-ring return was with The Shield against The Miz, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Sheamus and Kane at TLC 2017. He mostly recently wrestled on this past Monday’s RAW, a losing effort with Finn Balor and Braun Strowman against Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.
