AEW’s Fight for the Fallen Show May Not Be PPV

In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he doesn’t think AEW’s Fight for the Fallen event, which was announced yesterday, will be a PPV. He noted that AEW wanted to do a show in Jacksonville since Jacksonville is the closest thing to a hometown that AEW has (AEW owner Shahid Khan owns the Jacksonville Jaguars and AEW has been using some resources from the Jaguars including their offices), but that this will be a benefit show for the local market. He added that the “real big stuff” will “probably be booked for Chicago,” likely a reference to the third AEW show which many speculate will be All In 2.

The first All In took place in September, so based on AEW’s current schedule of a show every two months, it would make sense that they’d do their third show in September. Fight for the Fallen is set to take place on July 13th, 2019 while Double or Nothing is set for May 25th. No other AEW shows have been officially announced.
