– A new report has the current backstage plans for women’s matches at WrestleMania, including Ronda Rousey’s role. Sports Illustrated reports that the current women’s championship matches are currently pencilled in for the show:
* Raw Women’s Championship Match: Alexa Bliss (c) vs Nia Jax
* Smackdown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs Asuka
* Smackdown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs Asuka
The report also notes that Rousey is scheduled for a mixed tag team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. WWE is said to be considering The Rock, Kurt Angle, Shane McMahon, and Seth Rollins as her possible tag team partner. The biggest challenge for the Rock are concerns about a WrestleMania appearance causing his films insurance problems. Shane McMahon, meanwhile is still involved in his angle with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Seth Rollins does not currently have a set opponent for this year’s WrestleMania card, and he has longstanding storyline issues with Triple H.
Opinionated View- Okay so poor Alexa having to carry Jax in a match. And oh god Charlotte and Askua is going to be awful. Now the idea of putting Ronda in a mixed tag is actually a good idea. It would cover how green she is going to be. The problem is Triple and Stephane are awful idea. Rock would suck and I think its pretty clear Kurt is at that point he just shouldn't be in the ring.
