ROH News and Notes

ROH booker Hunter “Delirious” Johnston almost didn’t make the PPV on Friday night. Johnson was in car accident in the Times Square area in Manhattan while traveling to Terminal 5 for the PPV. No one was injured, but his car was totaled. He had to wait for the police to clear him and his car to be towed before he could leave. He arrived at the venue very late
– Jay Lethal was reportedly very emotional after winning the ROH World Title, calling it the best weekend of his life. The plan is for Lethal to carry hold both titles going forward.
– There were no major injuries coming out of the weekend. Along with the PPV on Friday, they taped five episodes of TV on Saturday.
– The Samoa Joe farewell will likely be released as some sort of DVD exclusive.
– The Best in the World PPV was sold out well in advance, but the Saturday TV tapings were roughly ¾ full.
– ROH returns to traditional PPV for Final Battle in December.
