6/3 WWE NXT Report

-The show kicks off with a video package from Elimination Chamber, showing Kevin Owens defeating John Cena.
TYLER BREEZE vs. ADAM ROSE
Breeze gets a pretty good reaction from the NXT fans. Rose controls the early parts of the match, with lots of attacks in the ropes, using as many five-counts as he can. Tyler tries to come back but is dumped to the floor as they head into a commercial. After the break, Rose has a side headlock strapped in. Breeze builds back with elbows and hits a big step-up enzuigiri. Rose comes back with a palm strike and a beast of a splash in the corner, then drops him with a lariat for a two-count. He locks in the Boston Crab and sits down on the hold; eventually Tyler gets to the ropes to break it. Rose gets frustrated and drops a leg on the back of his opponent’s head out on the apron. He follows up with an elbow drop on the floor, rolls Breeze back into the ring, but runs into the Beauty Shot out of nowhere.
WINNER: TYLER BREEZE

-Total Divas star Eva Marie is introduced. The crowd does not let her speak, with loud boo’s and “you can’t wrestle chants”. Eventually she says she’s in NXT because the women of the promotion are revolutionizing the industry, and she wants to compete with the best in the world. She turns maybe 10% of them in favor of her by the end of it. That was rough.
-William Regal announces that Kevin Owens will defend the NXT Championship against Finn Balor on the 4th of July, and it will be LIVE on the WWE Network streaming from Japan!
CARMELLA vs. ALEXA BLISS
Bliss controls most of the match – heels doing heel things, causing all sorts of distractions. Alexa uses the ropes, stretches her five-counts, and builds heat on Carmella for about three minutes. Eventually Carmella comes back with a series of clotheslines, yelling “How You Doin?” to a good reaction. Carmella ends up rolling her up using the ropes for leverage.
WINNER: ALEXA BLISS
-Backstage promo from Rhino. He talks about enjoying going to war with Baron Corbin at NXT Takeover. He gives Finn Balor his due, but says his demonic mind games won’t work on a possessed “man beast”, and that he was going to Gore Balor tonight and move on to the NXT title.

THE VAUDEVILLIANS vs. MARCUS LOUIS & JASON JORDON
The Villians control Louis early on, who’s apparently become a crazy person. Jordon tags in and takes over Aiden English with a few suplexes and a modified chin lock. Louis comes in and stretches Aiden’s face, screaming at him like a madman. Simon Gotch makes the hot tag, the two clean house and hit the Whirling Dervish on Louis for the win.
WINNERS: THE VAUDEVILLIANS

Finn Balor talks about returning to Japan to face Kevin Owens for the NXT title. He says he won 11 championships in Japan, and that it has become his adopted home over the years, and that he’s beyond excited to beat Owens in Japan.
FINN BALOR vs. RHYNO
Finn has some luck with kicks and high flying moves early, but ultimately falls to the size and strength of the ECW original. Rhyno controls for several minutes, working rest holds and using power moves like shoulder tackles. Balor catches him with an enzuigiri on the top rope, knocking him to the floor, and following up with a suicida to take them both out. When they come back from break, Rhyno has somehow gotten back in control. He keeps the pace of the match down, working more rest holds and beating down Finn with powerslams and clotheslines whenever he builds up any momentum. Balor with a kick in the corner and a flying forearm to mount his comeback, but he runs into a big spinebuster for two. Big Pele Kick out of nowhere, followed by the Slingblade from Finn. Hesitation dropkick into the corner, but he misses the double foot stomp. Rhyno sets up for the Gore, Balor side-steps the move and rolls him up for the three-count.
WINNER: FINN BALOR
-Balor celebrates with the fans, then heads up the ramp to do his pose, but Rhyno comes out of nowhere with a massive running Gore to take Finn about 10 feet across the stage. Medics tend to him as the show goes off the air.
